I know 95% of people on this site don't like me posting on this topic, but this isn't "old ground" as if you watch Footy Classified EVERY SINGLE week Caroline Wilson does the AFL's spruiking for helping out the Brisbane Lions.
As your stats above mention - 3 flags vs 0 flags, and 0 wooden spoons vs 4 for the Blues indicates the Lions have done pretty well in the last 20 years.
No to AFL assistance to the Lions. They can cop a few thrashings. Let them see what it is like. No to priority picks for the Lions. No to financial assistance unless that money is matched dollar for dollar to Carlton.
I am tired of the first 10 minutes of every week of Footy Classified being devoted to the Brisbane Lions.
They are inferring that the welfare of the Lions is more important than Carlton or Collingwood's welfare, just because they are in a state where football isn't the main game.
That is not a good enough reason for that club to be the protected golden species..
