Reckon Jaksch will be starting to get pissed off.
They're really making him earn a spot..... Which is good

Would be a good week to play Jack with saints undersized backline, but equally happy to wait

Whose spot would he take?
Backline settled.
An extra tall in the forward line would take away a strength which is pressure from the faster players.

Hardly a tall.

More a mobile forward

Pedantic?

191cm and plays tall.

The VFL write-up from Josh Fraser indicated that Jaksch didn't put in the consistent effort required of him in the VFL last weekend. Not surprising he hasn't got a call-up this week.

They're talking about Jaksch, who's the better part of 197 cm.

Nah. Not pedantic at all

Cripps is 195 and plays midfield on ball

I found that write-up really odd, because he pretty much slagged off every tall that wasn't Silvagni or a ruck. If the ball hits the deck, the least agile are hardly going to become more so on a slow track.

The pressure and presence provided by the rucks outside of the contest was pretty much non-existent, in fact there were times when Phillips looked like someone slipping on ice in slow-motion, yet he was praised for his pace.

Conditions wouldn't have helped any of the big blokes, but it read like KJ just didn't present enough and didn't make enough contests. If so, that's an effort thing.

Well judging by most of the talk on here I assume Everitts spot is his if he pulls his finger out

The point where I make Casboult 2nd ruck so we can pick the extra key forward but Gorringe has done nothing wrong, played pretty well for 2 weeks, so deserves to keep his spot, hence Jaksch misses out.

Everitt, for all his frustrations, hits the scoreboard too often to lose his spot. Kicked goals this year, lead our goalkicking last year.

I don't think the effort level was any better from the rucks, they just had the luxury of starting at the contest, and the luxury of being able to trot to the forward line, such a slog it was to get the ball in there.

The defenders worked far harder than the rest IMO, as Frankston played to the conditions well and tried to draw them out of the 50 to open things up for their mids to charge in through the corridor and score.

Depending on how the data is segmented, that may not show-up in Fraser's GPS reports.
