Thoughts on Everitt?

Ha! I was wondering if anybody noticed "The Phantom" out there...

I wonder if he ever feels guilty watching his team mates bash and crash - at least he has a great view of the match

To be fair, the one time he crashed the pack he gave away a free for a block. Bit stiff I thought

Good win never in doubt after the first ten minutes.
Liked their use of the middle this week. They actually ran it a few times for about 4 run in goals.
Intense at the man and the ball, which gives us a chance to score.

Few quiet people this week but others filled the breach.

Touhy ran the lines well today.
Weitering makes footy look easy and slow. To me that's a sign of a class footballer.
Byrne is coming along nicely.
Curnow racked them up while keeping Rich pretty quiet.

If the umpire had have paid Levi a free, Robbo wouldn't have got crunched. Umpire's fault. I think Levi might get a fine for his late hit but it will be worth it. We have been pushed around for too long.

A win is a win I'll take it.

How good is it to be the more efficient scoring team!
All those years of watching the opposition take our pressure and then they waltz down the other end for a goal - that was us today. We are the ones that have the structure and confidence to score.
(Against Brisbane at least )

The tackling in the first half was really good I thought - set up our lead.

Good kicking for goal. What a massive difference it makes, to the score obviously but also the psyche of the team.

We appeared to get a few easy goals, the sign of a good side...not used to that. Pretty weak opposition though.

Was fairly confident we'd get Brisbane but next week is the danger game I think.

How things have changed. A game last year I'd hope we'd win, this time a game I wanted us to win but was still worried we'd revert to type. Not pretty, but great to see the team get the job done, especially with Gibbs and Docherty well down. The Bolts effect just keeps going on. Love it.

i can't remember too many times in the last decade where we were expected to win well, and we did.

saint's will be much tougher next week, esp without murphy. Murph really does the heavy lifting & compliments Gibbs game really well. Gibbs has always looked lost when murphy isn't going and getting it.

they have to get Leppa out of there.

He's another Neanderthal coach, just like Voss.

I've read a few comments about being smashed in the midfield. To be honest Brisbane has a much better midfield than us around in the contest at this stage, they just suck at having a game plan to maximise the dominance. I expected to lose the contest, and that was maximised by Brisbane when Kreuzer went off.
