I thought the irish boys were all class today. It was probably one of Tuohy's best games.

Nice to win and if someone said we'd be 6-5 half with a 38 pt win again Brisbane I'd be beyond excited. But now we are actually decent, and you have to day, with a 6-5 record, now a finals contender even if we're still not favoured, we were very sloppy after half time. That attitude won't help.against a side like St.Kilda next week.

Anyway, past the negatives, what we have done to get us to 6-5 and some sort of a finals chance is nothing short of remarkable. Especially when we were shit at 0-4 and I was hoping we could win at least 1 game this season. Our season has taken off. Finals, at our stage, would be terrific but development at this stage is the priority. Finals would be simply a bonus on top of that.

My Foxtel coverage briefly switched to the Geelong v GWS game with about five minutes to go.

Why can't Tuohy teach Casboult to kick those from outside 50?

We were only okay and won by 38 points.

We'd have lost this game last year, and did.

Can't really be unhappy with where we're placed.

Could this be interpreted as confidence?

Though it may have looked like we slacked off towards the end (and indeed we did) could it be they boys knew even if Brisbane came back, we'd have their measure?

We never looked like we were in trouble today, and I think the boys are starting to show some confidence in themselves and each other.

Just a theory ...

That's how I saw it.

Did Walker rubbed out yet? Not sure if it was replayed enough for an automatic 2 match suspension.

I feel exactly as I felt before the game.

I'm a Carlton supporter. I expected the win.

But, nothing too high and nothing too low with my feelings.

Pros and Cons later on in the week. Right now, enjoy the expectation.

Couldn't see the game but looked like Doc got better in 2nd half and Kerridge did very well along with Simmo, Wietering (needs an abbreviation) and Ed.
What happened to Kruze?

Back 6 are up there with the best now. Unreal. Weitering is a FREAK. The new SOS but a tidier player. Byrne is a joy to watch.....9 games only ! Docherty has to be AA. Thouy enjoying his footy and Simmo superb.

Good signs from Gorringe too. He is an athlete and should keep getting better.

And how good has Ed been this year ? Relishing being able to hunt the footy but has lifted in all aspects of his game. In fact the whole list has improved. Hats off to Bolts and staff :donk:

Only listened on the radio. Broke their possession game down early and got a decent lead. They changed tactics in the second half made in roads but as per usual with this team, they adapted and steadied.

Pushed it out to an unassailable lead in the last and then switched off. Whether that was intentional, Bolton will be unhappy with it or we just had nothing left after 6 day break and last weeks gruelling effort I don't know.

Sounded like Gorringe, Kerridge and Lamb lifted when others were down. That's great news for the team.

We won by 38 with 5-6 of our leading players playing a little below their present standards, and missing Murphy and Kreuzer.

Rockliff had 48 possessions for them and had very little impact on the game.
