Depends how Tutt would be used. His strength is his pace so if he can be used to run and carry at the oppositions defensive lines creating pressure, bring him in.

Don't bring anyone in. Just play with 2 less men ... that's when we bring our A game ;)

It seems VFL suspension doesn't carry over to AFL. Anyone confirm?

Buckley still suspended I think.

VFL only this week it seems; already served a 2-game suspension in AFL terms.

I think he has to serve 2 VFL matches. They had a bye last week so I think he still has the 2 weeks to go.

My understanding is that he could play AFL this wee but not VFL

He missed the last Northern game.

Dylan Buckley - Suspended (VFL) - Available round 11

Laws of Australian Football 2016
Quote:
1.3 AFL RULES PREVAIL
Where any provision in the AFL Rules or Regulations is inconsistent with any provision contained in these Laws, the provision in the AFL Rules shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

19.4.4 Effect of Suspension
(a) Unless Laws 19.4.4 (d) or 19.4.4 (e) apply, a Player or Official suspended by a Controlling Body is, for the period of the suspension, or while the suspension remains unserved, prohibited from playing or participating in a Match conducted by the Controlling Body imposing the suspension and a Match conducted by any other Controlling Body.

Subclauses d and e refer to changing to a competition that operates during another calendar period, so if I'm reading that right, he's suspended for 2 AFL matches (2 weeks) and at least 1 VFL match (2 weeks), but possibly another VFL match as well.

You must have forgotten this is a footy forum jim- no place for thorough rearched responses unless wielded with emotional angst...
You are spoiling it for those of us who like to rely on opinion.

:P

I had a similar response, I thought it seemed dumb for him to get a 3 match suspension while serving a 2 match one, then those injury lists came through and I checked it out.

Murphy out till after the bye. Ouch!

We did play well without him, but we will miss him in the midfield.
Brizzy are out to win this. They need it more than us.

They gave us a bath in Brizzy last year. Terrible game. We fell away.
What a wasted trip to Brisbane that was.

Redemption.

Have to win the midfield against Rockliff and co.

Kreuzer Gibbs Cripps Curnow ...that's a good starting quartet.
Thomas Kerridge Simpson Docherty pretty good back up around the ball.

Come on Bluebaggers...must win this one.

The nightmare of the corresponding fixture at Etihad last year still lingers.
Missing easy shots at goal... Blowing a comfortable lead.... Turnovers galore... Flogs like Lewis Taylor and Robbo getting in our players faces.... Side coming to a stand still in the last, with both Gibbs and Murph statless...
One of our dark moments in the last weeks of Mick's reign.
Im really hoping we show just how far we ve come as a side in the space of 12-13 months. A repeat of last years performance against a side who, away from the Gabba, has been next to useless, will be a bit of a step back in our development...

He has been very positive about his suspension.

I think Graham needs to come in for the injured Murphy.

But ... I also want Byrne back ... hmmm.

It is a conundrum, Byrne would be extremely unlucky not to come straight back in but I am not sure who else would be dropped.
