How many frees to Goldy in the ruck????
Surely an all time record

Most of the free kicks is because the umpires can't bounce the f#$k ball properly :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

During the game one of the commentators said the North Forwards had on average over 100 games experience versus ours which was much lower, can't remember the number but less then half.

Not one highlight from the final quarter.

Four out of five very punchable turds.

Speaking of punchable turds, is Gibbs in trouble for his stomach punch (in retaliation) on Harvey with the MRP?

I won't have a problem with that as long as Harvey goes up too.

Harvey came from behind and did the cheap shot Pearl Harbour - and Harvey wants to take the high moral ground and get all snooty when Gibbs went up to him to sort it out.

When the cats are switched on they're about a 10x better team than North.

41 to 29, so 24-23 away from the centre bounce.

I still want Barker's head on a (metaphorical) pike.

Two goal assists as a team.

seeing Charlie was probably the highlight of the night

the silly north supporter who Bronx cheered Bolton every break as he walked past was a close second. followed by her bagging Curnow for ducking into a Lindsay Thomas tackle

Another one was getting a lesson in taps to advantage. I know Jim says it is a made up stat but a look in the wash up at what a decent tap ruck can achieve is worth a lot. If Gorringe stays in next week, it can't be as a ruck, it has to be as a mobile tall forward, maybe relieving ruck at best. Rowe is needed in defence. So, Wood in.

Pretty sure that's Doc Sherrin.

It's a stat that we suck at.

Have we had enough of waiting for Walker to return to his young self?

IMO he's a VFL player.

Didnt go to the game and have seen some highlights.

Questions:

1 is Gorridge a write off? 6th year in the system and not progressing. Did look overawed and when your'e 200cm and 95kg and not presenting the physical element in the ruck position, what can you offer? A no. 10 pick in the 2010 draft that's astounding.

Did feel sorry for him as it appeared as if there was no enthusium or well done pats from teammates after his karate kick goal.

2 Was Barker really a close second for the coaching job? midfield area is critical & he needs to lift his game

3 Was there any dialogue with Waite after the game. His carry on after his first goal (bullshit free) was annoying

Rope a dope i reckon.........they let us get plenty of pill in our back arc knowing we would eventually cough it up which we eventually did and they pounced on the loose ball like a seagull on a hot chip.Good tactics Kangas. They sliced through the arcs virtually unimpeded. They closed the gaps perfectly..............nothing to be ashamed of coz they aint top of the ladder for no reason. And as far as Goldy V. Gorringe goes it was a mother of a shellacking.Once again no shame in that as Goldy has carved up far more accomlished ruckman than Gorringe. He has learnt from the best, and so long as he is prepared to take it on board and work on it he will be OK.Im more than prepared to give him another shot in the bigtime...............

The main thing is we learn from our poor outing and come out hard against the Cats.Sure they are good, but not that good.We can do it.

The Carlton Football Club................Now,Always,Forever.

Barker is the stoppage coach, which is an important distinction, but I otherwise agree about him.

I thought the same.

How can Gorringe be blocking when the umpires bounce has the ball go over Gorringe's head and past him.

The other Jim, not you, Jim.
If I am bagging you I usually use your full moniker.

Could be the Doc, though.

Thanks Wookie. I got off the plane last night and was pretty devastated to see the score. The fact there's only 3:30min of highlights is super disappointing. :(
