Yeah lets put Tutt at Full Back. The smaller the better. We will run it out of defence with ease. This place comes up with amazing ideas.

Can't see any point in playing Korcheck if he's going to be a liability around the ground, and let's face it he'd get a bath from Goldie in the ruck anyway. Might be better to play Jaksch, more mobility than playing Wood or Gorringe. With neither Wood or Gorringe playing in the two's last week it doesn't fill me with confidence they'll be up to a senior game this weekend. Either way we are going to need a big game fron Rowe.

North didn't look too quick over the ground against Essendon*, our only hope is quick ball movement into the forward line, North haven't got the tightest defence in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cripps and Plowman don't get up, they've got to be pretty sore after Sunday's game.

I reckon they might consider Jack this round.

Let's face it, we look like being badly undermanned this week

Jaksch has to come in, and hopefully do well, to take Levi's place. Let's hope Wood is available this week to cover the ruck duties, he's got senior experience, and just run with Goldy and pester him and knock him around a bit to stop his influence. Rowey will have to pinch hit in the ruck again. Maybe Graham, Tutt or Boekhorst in for Walker, who gave us nothing last week. Jammo probably has to remain in defence until Weits comes back, or do we drop Jammo, and bring in Whitey?.

So if Mckay and his injury update is to be believed, we can choose from Gorringe, Wood, and Korcheck for ruck (pending rookie upgrade rules). Not quite as catastrophic as first thought. Just mildly so.

We NEED a plan......

an idea...a scheme...a shark tank of thoughts...
someone to take the ruck* duties over for
the period we have no ruck* due to the
injuries sustained by our tall timber.............if
you will...!

and this is what I think...!

we look for a jumping jack...a bouncing bean...
a pogo stick on each foot...a shoulder riding
ball grabber............if you will obviously...!

Marc Murphy...!

there we said it...!

diz-zeeee.....!

* lucky did a quick check...each time i
wrote "ruck"...my auto correct wrote

Good builds
If it was wood and KJ for Kruezer and casboult it might be serviceable at least.

Great comment.

No one suggested playing Tutt at full-back.

I gave you more credit for seeing how the game is being played than to think 4 tall forwards are all going to have a big influence on the same game.

Our rucks don't hit it to our advantage most of the time anyway.
put Rowe and Jones in the ruck and just shark goldstein's taps. Dogs played half the season without ruck. Port play without a ruck.

At the center bounce don't contest just concede the ruck and have a spare at the fall of the ball.
If he takes it you tackle and get the free anyway
Simple problem solved

Not sure if you're being serious....

Goldstein would just smash it forward 40metres at every ball up, allowing the NM players to run onto it and have a field day. How demoralising and pathetic would we look to concede possession at every stoppage.

We obviously have to do our homework on Goldstein's taps because he will win the majority anyway, but we have to compete. If Wood is available (C Curnow to LTI?) then I would pick him. Not that I think he's in Goldstein's class, or that his VFL form this year has been particulalry inspiring, but he is a genuine ruckman who has shown he can also provide a bail out option in attack. Gorringe is the next best available option, but he has even less presence.

We can't go a full month without a ruckman. Rowe & Jones don't have the tanks to play long spells in the ruck and we need them in KPs. They are support ruckmen at best.
