Saturday night at Etihad, four weeks ago this would've been the biggest flop ever. Now it shapes as a great test to see where we're at.

North are "due' for a loss and extremely vulnerable. Big chance.

Omen....

Last time North started 8-0, in 1978, they played Carlton and we pumped them by 10 goals. We were 3-5 at the time and Jezza had just taken us over.

For the history buffs I'll record this in the Milestones thread, but;

NO

we haven't done this since 2000!

This place would come unglued if the boys can end Norf's blessed run...

Both the Scott brothers talk like they're in need of special education, yet here they are with the top two teams. Would be good to inflict some despair on the mouth breathing, ginormous eyebrowed, close eyed Neanderthal Scott.

Out: Casboult, Jamison

In: Jaksch, Weitering

Rowe as the forward/ruck option unless Gorringe comes up in place of Casboult.

Gorringe didn't play in the 2s - you think they'd pick him?

Come to mention it, no Wood either. Korcheck can jump but taps to disadvantage remains his #1 stat for now.

Phillips was walking around the ground on the weekend.

Kinda my point: Jaksch, Foster, JGM and Silvagni are the last men standing.

They might prefer Rowe back into defence for this one if Gorringe is fit.

I think Jamison is doing just enough to keep his place for next week given there is no-one in the 2s demanding to replace him with strong performances. I'd rather see Jaksch earn his place.

For me it is Weitering for Casboult with Rowe taking Casboult's place up forward and second ruck while Weitering takes Rowe's place in defence.

I really do not care if we win (although it would be nice) I just want more of the effort we are showing , as that is what I am loving at present

Do we really need to risk Cripps against the top team when we're in a development year?

Pace will beat Norf, the cheats had them on the ropes. They looked tired and slow, their midfield has a lot of grunt with Ziebel, Cunningham, Swallow, and Dal Santo but they lack pace. Ethihad will help them, Ed to run with Wells. Good to include Buckley but will need tall coverage for Waite, Brown and Petrie.
