Thoughts on how to record the game? I have an AFL live pass for phone / iPad but can't watch it live. No Foxtel or physical recorders. Happy to record on the iPhone if a suitable recording app can be suggested. How long before a torrent would turn up? Darn technology getting away from me.

Yeah i meant to say I'll be back in action around 3 or 4pm to watch the game. So pretty keen to catch it before I get sucked in to read the result on here.

Based on how you've described your setup, your like best quality is using your iPad as a capture device on your PC. If you use a recent Mac and a recent iPad (i.e. it has a lightning cable), it's relatively simple to set up. If not, you might need a converter for your cable (probably a lightning cable to HDMI converter, assuming your PC has a HDMI port).

Then you just play the game at full screen on the connected device and start the capture. You'll need to be able to start the stream and the capture, but then you can leave it run (subject to free HDD space).

There's no capacity to record or remotely trigger a stream/recording directly onto an iOS device that doesn't involve a jailbreak. Anything that's ever done that generally gets kicked off the App Store very quickly because it's a breach of Apple's policies for the App Store and use of their non-public API elements.
