I reckon the last time I watched a match with you it was THAT match against Port Adelaide.

I think you should shut the @#$%&! up now.

No need to revisit past horrors... :yikes:

even though walker is slower and far less agile, he's important for the forward line.

he's the 3rd option you need up front. both levi and jones offer a contest and walker can and will beat a man in a one on one marking contest, which you need for our game.

the pies were the first time all year we've played with 3 forwards, and we nearly kicked 100pts. you gotta keep going with that. We really need a crumbing and defensive pressure guy to rove those contests up front.

imo, we need to swap white with jammo, and maybe swap everett out for some more outside run like boek or buckley??

When was the last time Walker beat anybody? What has he done in the two rounds he played this year?
A fit Walker is a good Walker, but playing him because of his 2012 form (50 goasl) or for some games last year where he kicked a few is living in hope and yesteryear.

I'd like to think everyone has to contest to win, and play with passion and form before they are selected to play for Carlton moving forward. Walker hasn't shown anything this year, and surely after an interrupted preseason he is not match fit, and with BB's game plan, there's a lot of running and defensive pressure applied and if youre not fit you will stand out as such: Jammo and Walker fit that bill imo.

You're being harsh here. He laid 4 tackles; the equal 5th highest number of anyone in our side and the highest number for any player who played predominantly forward. I can remember at least two tackles of his that led to contested ball situations and goals for us. He might be a little off the pace, but he still contributed.

I'm not trying to be harsh him.
I'm disappointed that he was selected when imo he wasn't ready for AFL level.

I can't remember him laying tackles that led to us scoring goals.
I'll look at the game again today. I promised the kids, and will look out for Walker's tackles.

I know Bolton was looking forward to Walker coming into the team for leadership because he bought into Bolton's game plan.
I saw a lot of lazy efforts from Walker and was really disappointed.

He needs to be in tip top shape to compete at this level.

I'm guessing we will get another look at him this weekend, and if he performs by kicking 3-4 goals or 3-4 assists from effort I will be stoked.

walker took 2, maybe even 3 marks inside 50, and while the pies defence collapsed around jones and casboult, walker was left one-on-one back goalside. that's a pretty good structure to have once we lock the ball into our front half with our press & zone.

he'll only get better the more he plays. you know, better for the run and all that.

KJ isn't playing overly tough or consistent in the magoos ... i just can't see the MC rewarding KJ at this stage.

I wasn't at the game to see structure like you did. Pleasing to read.

I hope he comes good.
We know his knees are a huge issue.
Would love to see him and Simmo play in another winning final for the Bluebaggers

Last match ever at Football Park, final game of 2013. Doc and I went over for the game and made a day of it. Sat with rabid Carlton fans amidst a bunch of rabid Port fans.

Doc can get you into trouble, but luckily didn't. I had him on one side and a really nice young lady with her boyfriend on the other side. She turned out to be missnaut - small world!

At one point, when it was really quiet, I called umpire Troy Pannell a cheat - at the top of my voice. He must've heard.

Anyway, Murphy, Bell, and Duigan played an awesome last quarter and we won by a point or a couple of points.

Hightailed it to the airport in a cab, and since the whole day was on the club, we ended up on the same plane as MM, the boys, the Fox Footy commentators, and the umpires.

Doc and I started up a conversation with the umpires and we found Pannell to be a charming, intelligent, articulate and all-round good bloke. I remember thinking "I hope he didn't hear me before, and if he did I hope he doesn't recognise me".

It was a great day, chatting with Gerard Healy on the plane ride home. Left my house at 5.30am and got home at 1am.

Club should do that kinda stuff more.
