White next pleAse -a really ordinary team if he is even being considered
ABW -
Armfields performances last year means he should be considered otherwise agree very uninspiring selections

I don't think that part of it was quashed, but regardless Fraser was quoted as saying his effort last week was inconsistent despite the 3 goals.

Bolton said at the start of the season that form would dictate KJ's selection, I would have thought his last few VFL games he's shown a bit. I'm puzzled by his non selection, especially with Walker and Everitt out, maybe he still needs to work on a few things.

Good seeing Plow and Summer getting through these early games. Being managed well by the conditioning staff it seems

Both guys are easing into it nicely...

Sumner seems like one of those types of players who can explode on a game at any moment. Even though he hasnt had the numbers little efforts here and there give us a glimpse of what he will be all about.

He has showed seem really good signs. Jed is a talent and Plow is going to be back there with JW for the next 10 years with any hope.

With Boekhorst, Cuningham, Buckley, Walker and Whiley missing, it was slim pickings for midfield/small reinforcements, and 22 names to be picked out of 32 (excluding rookies other than Byrne). Armfield is a certainty because he's earned the opportunity with a great return in the VFL.

DVR's supposedly been less prominent the last fortnight, while Smith's not even hit double digit possessions despite praise for his defensive pressure. That leaves the guys you see on the extended bench as the midfield reinforcements, unless people wanted to see Dick play in defence and Docherty in midfield?

Armfield aside, there's actually a few options to work with in terms of a second - and third - inclusion. My favourites are:

- Graham in, Gibbs forward
- Jamison in, Weitering forward
- White in (to play forward)
- Graham and White in, Phillips out

Perplexing omission given lack of key fwds.

They couldn't drop Jones or Levi so it's not like they brought another tall forward in instead of KJ.

Will be Sunday. Big 21st Saturday night. I'll check his intake. Great kid.
I'm looking forward to seeing him on the dance floor after his stirring rendition of the club song. Moshpitesq.

Bombers selections predictable.....well 2 of them anyway.

Crowley in to rough us up (look out Murph!) & Polkinghorne who if I'm not mistaken played and did really well against us n that final with the Lions.

Good luck blues!

Not really. Jones and Casboult are the key forwards. Adding Jaksch will be overkill and stifle our mobility. Don't count Curnow as a key forward yet.
At the moment he's a mobile 3rd tall. Jaksch can't fill that role.
Jaksch will need Casboult or Jones to drop out or he'll have to force one of them out. He isn't dominating the game sufficiently yet to force the issue.

I like Ciaran Byrne named on the wing - hope he gets to free wheel a bit.

I think we've stagnated Zac Tuohy's creative instincts by playing him as a defender, don't want to do the same thing to Ciaran Byrne.

Gibbs forward - YES! Big YES from me.

Weitering forward - No! He's even said himself he's enjoying it down back and prefers it down back. Only 5 games into his AFL career....... I don't wanna go stuffing up his development swinging him all over the ground.

Need Dick in defence and Tuohy in the midfield. 2E needs to get his hands on the ball and spend a bit of time with players worrying about him rather than him worrying aout his man

Kruezer dropping out (for those of us who think he's underperformed) could also force KJ in with Casboult playing more of a Leigh Brown 2nd ruck/part time fwd role
Obviously, BB is currently satisfied that Kruezer worth persisting with

Gibbs and Thomas fwd...Could be a real force to be reckoned with. Both 'smart' footballers
