We have surpassed last years membership tally 47305 now 47313
Would we be the only club in AFL history which finished last in 2015 and has over 45000 members.

Probably something like what they did last year:

Carlton raise their game on membership drive

Quote:
As they try to reconnect with a troubling number of disaffected fans while reconstructing internally, Carlton have significantly bolstered their membership team and are offering price reductions of up to 50 per cent on 2016 member packages.

For the first time, the Blues this week have also launched a buy-three-games-get-one-free membership deal, in a bid to add to a tally that new CEO Steven Trigg has said "should be well north of where it is at the moment".

...

A "five-in-five" promotion Carlton is running until March 19 sees the club offer reductions of 10 per cent – on 2016 membership prices – for every member introduced by another member. The offer allows a maximum 50 per cent discount on 2016 membership packages.

That'll eat into the revenue a little, but it's a nice saving for families.

Last update was 47,408; they're only updating it once a week at the moment.

47,561.

As per the previous discussion:

Bonus deal for Round 6
Quote:
With any purchase of a three-game or flexi membership this week, you’ll also receive two bonus general admission tickets to this Sunday’s clash at the MCG – a match you won’t want to miss!

...

There’ll only be limited bonus tickets at our membership marquee on match-day, so to avoid disappointment make sure you sign up this week!

Whilst that's a good tally - they have won three premierships in the past 9 years.

Imagine how many supporters we would have now if we had done the same.
