Crowley and Simpkin should come straight in after their VFL performances.

Casboult for extra ruck duties

Buckley needs to step up...on the edge of being dropped

I have more faith in Phillips than I do in Kruezer

ridiculous...no dedicated ruckman

By that I assume SOS drafted Phillips as a mid??? or small fwd?? or KPF/D

Personally, I think Sumner has offered more than Buckley. His courage won us a couple of crucial contests last night.
I'd definitely persevere with him.

I think we've had the same amount of rest as Essendon*, if not less.

They didn't break a sweat today.

Some good smothers, chases, tackles and desperation. The desperation on the flank that led to Wrights smother and the Murphy goal was great. Could never have pictured Menzel doing that.

Buckley made 1 mistake yesterday. Good forward pressure. Unlucky not to kick a couple. He plays every week for mine

Possibly no change this week - unless they are keen to get Armfield and/or Walker in, which might see Buckley and/or Lamb dropped.

Personally, I would bring KJ in for one of the ruckmen or Jones - but I doubt it'll happen.

And it won't be this week, but at some point Tuohy's spot could come under question. Particularly if Dick keeps playing well in the VFL.

Why would you drop Jones? Just want to crush any confidence he has?

Yeah, you're right - Jones is a vital player for our future and we must keep him in the side at all costs. KJ can rot in the VFL forever.

Definitely what I was saying.

Can't see why we can't play both KJ and Jones in the forward line. Both are proven to take a mark and Levi has actually been pretty good further up the ground.
He had 16 possessions, 6 marks and sent the ball inside 50 5 times.

Playing Jones and KJ against Essendon* could install some much needed confidence in both of them.

The only way we can play both KJ & Jones is if we drop a ruckman or Casboult. I get the impression that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I've been talking up Jones' efforts in the VFL for a few weeks, so I was pleased he got to lick the ice cream in the last quarter on Sunday. But he should be far from an automatic selection this week IMO.

Odds are he will keep his spot and KJ will be play in the VFL again. I just hope we don't wait until KJ has lost form/confidence before bringing him in.

Big test for Bolton to see if he can alter the mindset.

Bear that in mind as you retire / drop / write-off the young men who represent your team on the weekend.

Good point.

He has lifted.

He had one bad game against Sydney because we picked White to play with Weitering, Jamison and Rowe, which left him having to man Papley.

We just have to drop one of the two ruckmen, I can't see what value we are getting from having two in the team.

Replace one with Armfield as we seem to need more running and tackling power for Bolton's game plan.
