Rather Walker rotate in and out of the side with someone older like Thomas.
Should give young guys like Buckley and Summer time/experience at senior level

If the first half of that sentence were true, you wouldn't feel the need to justify it by referencing his age and experience.

I've seen inflatable tube men more capable of applying pressure outside the stoppage.

I understand the reference to experience and age as very relevant. It is called "up side". Agree?
And I agree, along with many others Philips has been better ie cleaner hands than Kreuzer. What's the point of getting your hands to the ball and not mark or grab it to give it off?

I don't understand your last sentence...who are you referring that comment to.

This for me is the first of two games for the year I'll be most passionate watching. Bring it on!

Out: Kruezer, Sumner
In: Jacksh Boekhorst

Casboult for extra ruck duties

Buckley needs to step up...on the edge of being dropped

I have more faith in Phillips than I do in Kruezer

I'd like to see Jaksch and DVR getting a call up, but this isn't the week to make too many changes. Reward those who got us the win this week.
Would make the Phillips/Armfield change for team balance and to get some more speed in our forward half. Pressure on the ball carrier against Essendon** will be crucial, as they'll continually cough it up if they're under the pump.
Boekhorst back if fit, I think he's just simply a more superior player than Buckley.

I am not sure why everyone wants Phillips out , he is giving us more than Kruser

Kruser cant mark , kick ,tap or have a impact on the game ...

There is no more room for potential when you over 27 years of age ....Kruser is our shane Watson the cricketer ....time to move on if we are serious this is a new era

I really feel like I'm the centre of some sort of elaborate practical joke re: Phillips

You got me guys, good one, now drop him.

I can't believe the people here writing off Kreuzer...

He's a bit out of form, not the first and won't be the last...

We saw the great touch he was in end of last year..

Possibly no change this week - unless they are keen to get Armfield and/or Walker in, which might see Buckley and/or Lamb dropped.

Personally, I would bring KJ in for one of the ruckmen or Jones - but I doubt it'll happen.

And it won't be this week, but at some point Tuohy's spot could come under question. Particularly if Dick keeps playing well in the VFL.

Why would you drop Jones? Just want to crush any confidence he has?

Yeah, you're right - Jones is a vital player for our future and we must keep him in the side at all costs. KJ can rot in the VFL forever.

Kreuz will struggle until he is the lone ruck.

We have seen this happen year after year.

You can't drop both Kreuzer and Philips for their lack of possessions.

One is getting to contests, the other one is jogging on the spot.

Boy oh boy, can he jump though!

Are you sure it was "great"?

I saw him drop plenty of easy marks week in week out.

I think the point is that he is out of form and we shouldn't be carrying out of form players.
Philips seems to be holding marks, getting the ball and dishing out a few handballs....and when he does have a shot at goal generally gets it.

I think I was blinded by love when it comes to Kreuzer, but enough is enough. He has to find form.

TBH, I prefer only one of the 2 rucks in and sharing the load with Casboult. I'm not too fussed which one goes, but it seems to me Philips is a better footballer atm, just a bit young and skinny.

I just want to remind people that as of two weeks ago, many posters were pensioning Simpson off.

He was absolutely vital yesterday.

Bear that in mind as you retire / drop / write-off the young men who represent your team on the weekend.

Essendon* are resembling nothing more than witches hats against Collingwood at the moment....

Carlton need to play committed four quarter footy and if they do then there is no reason why we cant bury the cheating scum
