One of Phillips or Kreuzer has to be dropped for Jaksch

I really dont understand why we constantly had Jones, Kreuzer and Casboult all at the same contest flying for the same ball up on the wing so many times today?

Casboult is so much better pushing up the ground but why all three at the same ball?

We need Jones and Jaksch working in tandem leading in opposite directions in the 50 and Casboult pushing up the wings , with mids pushing back into space.

Need to fix our centre square structure up too.

We can beat these pricks , we could start a roll of wins here.

Hopefully players have a bit more belief in themselves and the system.

Yup, bring in KJ and have Casboult play 2nd ruck.......... he looked good around the ground today.

This is my MUST WIN game of the year...... need to smash em!

Our chance to give them their ultimate humiliation, getting smacked by us when we're at our worst. I'm sick of our players not despising that jumper as much as we do and letting them get their couragetm on while we roll over.

Take the momentum from tonight and demand blood for next week.

They're @#$%&! drug cheats and the disgrace of this competition, let's make sure they know it.

Kreuzer just has to be dropped. Or Phillips. We're playing one short with both of them in. They combined for 10 possessions and 2 marks today. That would be poor for one ruckman. But for 2?

As others have said, drop one, play Levi as the backup ruck and bring in Jaksch as another forward target or armfield for some more run

Would like to see Jaksch come in for one of Kreuzer/Phillips.
Levi can spend some time in the ruck - no point parking him in the forward 50 as he doesn't kick any goals.
If Walker is fit we will need to try and fit him in the side as well.

Buckley shouldn't be dropped, IMO it sends the wrong message. He played his part in the win.

I agree re Buckley - he never stopped presenting and chasing. Not the most polished but the harassing and effort was there all day - a few to go before him.

Disagree re Buckley, he was trying for sure but clearly our weakest link bar the ruck duo, one of whom ought to go, he question is probably which one. Kreuzer is the better player and has been playing the better but his lack of leap really hinders him in the execution of the primary duty of a ruckman. Phillips has the leap, his tapwork is better and he is improving but to me he is the one to go. So for me in Armfield and Jakcsh, out Buckley and Phillips

You definitely drop a ruck, but do you drop Levi? I think he did enough to provide an outlet, but wow he is playing head games with himself. He should have handballed to Buckley and probably would have if he was thinking straight. What's more, Gorringe is only bobbing up for quarters and halves in the VFL.

Rowe got lucky today with Pavlich, who kicked 0.3 and handed off two despite looking way off the pace. Yes, Rowe wasn't his opponent all day, but their resting rucks also looked dangerous on Rowe. Daniher absolutely carved Rowe in the pre-season, and frankly nothing has changed about either one's form enough to warrant us rolling the dice there.

Unforunately the height issue in defence doesn't end there, with Mitch Brown (196) and Grimley (199) posing just as much vertical threat with pace as Daniher. Fortunately, they're all lead-up forwards who don't nail many contested grabs, and in another stroke of luck Brown's probably going to be used to solve their key defensive issues, but then they'll likely look to bring in McKernan (196) to stretch us and non-stop hammer our ruck combo if we persist with it.

If we had another 196+ cm defender on the books other than Glass-McCasker I'd drop Rowe, but we don't, so he stays.

I might get blasted for this, but the other name to talk about right now in terms of 'weak links' is Charlie Curnow. He's doing some nice things with and without the ball, and yes he's bobbing up for a goal, but he's not providing a consistent target and he's been blowing up a bit as the game wears on. I think it's important for his confidence that he goes back to the VFL and gets to run the show in a forward 50 and work an opponent over for a full four quarters, so that when he's ready he can come back and give us 90+ minutes up forward at an AFL intensity.

Out: Phillips, C. Curnow
In: Armfield, Jaksch

FB: Byrne Rowe Plowman
HB: Tuohy Weitering Docherty
C: Thomas Murphy Simpson
HF: Lamb Casboult Wright
FF: Jaksch Jones Sumner

R: Kreuzer Cripps Gibbs

Int: Kerridge, Armfield, Buckley, E.Curnow

Nope, happy for him to stay in. I reckon we're playing him a bit too far up the ground but I'm liking his development.
