Wow: talls are being gifted opportunities right now.

And sadly, Jones is the only one who deserves it

Our balance is wrong , need at least 1 less tall and 1 more mid (preferably with pace)

Thus:

In: Jones, White

Out: Kreuzer, Graham

Kreuzer is 1 less tall, White for Graham. White is versatile and is no slower than Graham. Rowe forward maybe with Levi 2nd ruck. Plowman, Weiters and White the talls down back.

Because he's not the ruck on the extended bench.

I thought we had gone past Simon White just shows how little depth we have

Oh well if we have white and Rowe making dumb decisions in our back line club must be already tanking to get the first pick after 4 rounds

White & Jones were our best two in the VFL last week. If they get in the final 22 it's because they've deserved it.
Personally wouldn't put White or Jamison in, but that's just my opinion.

Agree with that, but that line-up looks unbalanced, especially if we dump one of Graham or Buckley.

Cecil a good trier but won't get any better at his age and if we are going to lose better blooding someone else
I shudder every time Rowe and White go for the mark or dispose of the ball

Would prefer Jaksch to either

Geez, I'm not that bad

But, yes, I do agree with you and would prefer others than White. Having said that, White would be a very good travelling emergency given his versatility.

Rd5 teams now on club sites and afl site:

Carlton:

Interchange from: 7. Dylan Buckley 32. Nick Graham 40. Michael Jamison 14. Liam Jones 8. Matthew Kreuzer 42. Zach Tuohy 43. Simon White

With Rowe, Weitering and Plowman in defence you assume Jamison and White won't play. You'd assume Touhy and Jones will play. Leaves Buckley, Graham or Kreuzer. Do we want the extra tall, compared to other weeks with Jones in the team, or drop one of the smalls. I like Kreuzer but he's badly out of form so at Subi I don't mind the extra run with the two smalls. I'm thinking the selection committee will still go with Kreuzer though.

Look I get that we're a decent chance to go taller here, but does anyone else find it odd that we didn't even consider another small player?

It feels like the team is being picked structurally moreso than on talent or projected talent, and this week's structure demands a couple of third talls to manage Mayne and Fyfe.

I thought we'd left this thinking behind with Malthouse.

Heading along with the family, this includes my 7 year old, West coast supporting son. A casualty of our poor form and another member of the lost generation.

A win may plant the seed and give me a chance to sway his young mind.

Times are tough when you are looking forward to seeing how "the beast" Jones performs.

Great to see Everitt back via the 2nds.

Never thought I'd say this, but he deserves to get a go for a couple of weeks. He has been playing well and according to reports and the Coach he's working hard and has improved in many areas. Until Harry is ready we have no key forwards, at least none who can kick half decently.

KJ will be next in line if he keeps improving too. Rowe will go if he plays another bad one this week surely.

You would go past Rowe first before you go past White.

He's on the rise. Kreuzer isn't.

Kreuzer has a 2 year contract: ends next year...or is it this year? mmmm
