Unless you are talking about the immigrants workers all Singaporeans are relatively well off compared to surrounding countries. Subsidised housing, transport and food for all, plus easy access to cheap immigrant labour to further ease the burden. Yes there is a big gap between top,and bottom elements but only because the rich are very rich. The poor are not "very poor", a quick trip to the slums of Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, KL, etc will show you that.
