It's the same old shit everyweek:

Positives:
Young kids and new recruits.

Negatives:
Senior players.

Very impressed with Plow tonight, great effort as has only played three games prior.

I would drop Casboult till he learns how to kick straight in the magoos. Even Liam Jones would be better value at the moment, and he deserves a go after his last couple of weeks in the VFL. KJ also needs to come in to play at either end.

Finally, Sam Rowe should never play again. The way he stands and waits for the ball to come to him is a joke.

Easier!!!

Our club wouldn't know how to develop anything.

Haven't we already done the 'talls' draft?

Phillips was better tonight. He has to assert himself.

In the first half he was clear in the corridor with Caleb Daniels the only player near him while were being pressed in the back pockets. Players see him and kick it to him and we're away. ...and the Bulldogs get burnt and open up the press more next time. Sadly, we squeezed kicks up the line to contests instead while Phillips watched.

Some shockers tonight Frank. I can handle mistakes but we've suffered a couple of times this year from umpires making blatantly incorrect decisions.
Namely the Dale Thomas push in the back being paid downfield. The push was clearly in the action of the kick. To pay it downfield was a stupid error.

Good effort in the second half.
Our turn overs are killing us, I think we handed them about 6 goals.
Those 3 yellow morons would not know a free kick if it jumped up and bit them in the face, what a disgrace some of their decisions were.
The effort was there but just our skill errors cost us again.
Put Casboult on the backline, his confidence is shot.

Getting 10 kicked on him will build up his confidence!

Bulldogs don't exactly have great ruckmen and we still struggled. Phillips improvement was against Lim Jong

Agree. What's with the Casboult in defence call? Nonsense...he has to learn that when he has two on him, he takes the playrs away from the ball...someone has to be free....just a thought :)

Pros:
Younger players getting another game
Phillips was better

Cons:
Senior players are not leading & are letting the team down
Kruse terrible his & Casboults misses were comical
Rowe's awareness is non existent. Twice the ball was pinched from him for 2 goals
Graham cannot expect a regular game based on his first 4 rounds performances
Crowd of 27k is not good enough

Stringer and Boyd for a combined total of 0 goals thanks to Plowman and Weitering. Looking forward to watching that combination in defence over the next decade.

Agree at one stage Weitering and Plowman combined in the last quarter was thinking the same

A back line of Plowman Weitering and docherty in the future will be just fine

Casboult gets no support from the umpires. Say what you like about him, the holding, shepherding and blatent pushing and scragging against him by he opposition is boardering on disgraceful.

We are losing generally by around 5 goals each week.

Rowe directly costs us 2-3 each week

We can improve dramatically with one simple move.

Every week is a new excuse for this bloke. He is not even bush league quality. I'm sure our supporters will come up with a new reason to keep him in. But am glad he is proving me right :)

It's a joke that the player we kick the ball most to in the forward line is our worst kick ... says a lot about us

Plowman should he has good AFL attributes

Sumner displayed some "clevers"

Phillips is an upgrade on Warnock

Kerridge first point of contact with the ball needs to improve ... fumbles and as a result doesn't display his speed

Kruezer flinches when there is body contact

Interesting that the doggies tackles often grabbed our players arm and so they got us for holding the ball. Don't think we managed that once....

I think we are 4-5 turnovers and a forward who can kick straight away....
Effort is there are so, I think, is the game plan.

We will never move forward as a team while our two bookends are Levi and Rowe, and the piss weak efforts of Gibbs with his poonsy ponytail are tolerated.
Gibbs will get us a first rounder, Levi maybe a 3rd rounder, and Rowe can just disappear off into the sunset.
Jamo will see out his contract and then adios
Kreuz looking pretty average
Plownan, Weitering, Byrne and Docherty will be he cornerstones of our defence fir the next decade
Improved game by Thomas
We Could've given the game a shake if we had a decent forward line. We were pressing early in the last but no reward for effort. The missed shots by Kreuzer abs the dropped mark of Buckley's were massive errors.

Just for the record I don't like umpires and never will, unfortunately without them there is no game. I don't go around umpire bashing as there is no point to it. The disappointing thing for me is their lack of

professionalism. The AFL Commission want to spread the game far and wide for various reasons and I don't see a problem with that if it is going to help the game grow. I have no issue when umpires make

mistakes. We all make them. I do have an issue with continual inconsistencies. With three umpires this can and will happen but when individual umpires are blatantly inconsistent based on the jumper your

wearing is unacceptable. It did not bother me that we lost knowing that we are resetting or rebuilding, call it what you like. I still wanted us to win like all other true Carlton supporters. I am sure the players

would love to have a win. The majority of them are working bloody hard and a bit of success would do wonders. When you play interstate you half expect some free kick discrepancies but tonight was between

two Victorian teams with one receiving 30 free kicks and the other 13.

I only hope that rather large differential was brought about by incompetence and not bias.
