Or more to the point could deliver it properly to our forwards to give them a chance. We get just past the centre and bomb.

I'm not getting sucked into the doom and gloom.

Yes it sucks to lose and yes we have plenty of players out on the park who will indeed be replaced in years to come but it is refreshing for me to see some urgency, decent defence and ultimately losing because we lack the skill and polish instead of losing because we lack the effort.

I don't know what anyone is expecting. We all applaud the fact that the current coach and board 'know where we're at' so how about being consistent and realising that where we're at is a long way from having a list strong enough to challenge.

Slowly.

We won the wooden spoon, off four wins last year, and from that side lost Judd, Carrazzo, Yarran, Menzel, Ellard, Bell, Henderson and the undersized Warnock after losing Robinson, Betts, Waite and Garlett the year before...and people here expect us to be a top four side.

We are at the bare bones right now. A mountain ahead of us.

Poor skill execution was a much more significant factor. Kick those goals in the second quarter and the confidence rises.

Haven't seen the game but I would have taken a six goal loss.

Thought we looked good early. Lost our way a little. Then started the second with a great press and 5 mins in our half. GOt no reward. From there it fell apart until after half time.

We gifted them too many goals. Got frustrated with the umps and gifted them more.

Absolutely.

36 is a great effort with what we have.

Why would you bother handballing the ball to a stationary Nick "Concrete Boots" Graham?

I know scoreboard doesn't matter much at the moment but, if anything, the 6 goal margin flattered the Dogs slightly. They were no more than 3-4 goals better than us on the night, IMO.

62 games to go.

Had to be happy with the effort in the last quarter, but gee our forward line is awful. Dominate the last quarter and kick 2.2 and 7 goals for the match. But how good was our defence! Kept the greatest full forward to ever draw breath goaless!

You mean where Dylan Buckley had a lace out pass delivered to him at eye level and he dropped it.

One plus from tonight (despite it not being the massacre we predicted)...we outscored the drug cheats.

Certainly did. Alot of kicks were bombs forward just past the centre. If we could deliver it then, for all the domination, we could've made the game close. We dominated the 4th qtr and kicked all of 2.2 to 1.1. What does that tell you.

I'll ask you the same question, did you watch the 4th qtr.
