Jamo dropped before Rowe? Interesting.

Sumner, and to a lesser extent Plowman, seem like rushed selections to me. Ideally, they would have built form/fitness in the VFL for a bit longer. Sumner looks a fair way off being able run out an AFL game to me. Speaks to where DVR is at too.

Best wishes to our newbies!

Still 2 ruckmen but only one key forward. Our ruckmen are bloody useless forwards, we don't need two of them, prefer the extra key forward.

Why build match fitness in the ressies when you can do it in a dead rubber playing league?

In a strange way it makes sense. Get them used to playing with their intended team mates.

Strange logic with debatable merit.

A small crumbing forward...??

56. Andrew Gallucci

Stats: 15 disposals, 4 inside 50s, 5 handball receives, 3 tackles, 2 goals

From the coach: A small forward who applied good pressure at source, worked hard to provide an option at the drop of the ball and finished with two goals.

Surprised Tuohy survived.

Obviously the match committee listened to the Grumpy Old Defenders podcast.

It seems the MC have selectively been reading BF this week.

Huge vote of no confidence in our ability to man Boyd without Rowe, but at least we gained some pace, though apparently we did so to give Lamb more space to operate in.

I see zero value in playing Phillips unless they feel he finally hit his straps after 11 quarters of regular football.

Most of those stats were in the first half of the VFL IIRC.

There isn't really a matchup for both Jamison and Rowe. Plowman a bit more versatile. Tom Boyd is the only genuine tall forward named by the Dogs. Will be interesting to see if Plowman is matched up against Stringer.

Cunningham named as an emergency.

Agree 100% re Rowe vs. Jamison, I just thought it would be Weitering on Boyd, Jamo first crack at stringer and Docherty to play third man up, with Plowman coming in round 5 or 6.

Boyd will be watching video of Lynch's game and thinking he can burn off Rowe.

Both Sumner and Plowman sounded like they were a week away, so someone's pissed or taking risks.

Agree, very strange move. One of the two have to go, I imagine this will be the last week we see them both in the same team. Kruez always plays better as they sole ruckman. Phillips is this luckiest bloke to be playing AFL this year....
