Its going to take time to start reversing the damage from that atrocious decision to appoint the coach whose name shall not be mentioned.

Reckon GC will thump us. Scary to think what the Bullies will do the week after.

You pay the price for dumb decisions.

Go Blues!

Yep. Before Malthouse, Gold Coast never thumped us.

Two things here ...

1. The damage of the last three years is quantitatively measurable. We finished last ... we lost talented players for next to no gain ... etc etc. Its there for all to see ... laughable that anyone can defend the last 3 years of destruction.

2. My point was just a comment on what I thought would happen in this match. GC seems to have improved dramatically ... whereas we are just starting to build. Hey ... I hope I am wrong and GC have not improved by that much. I'll be hoping like hell we get up on Saturday night.

Two more years of drafting and some competent modern day coaching will see us making up a lot of lost ground.
We can however thank the coach whose name shall not be mentioned in enabling the Blues to pick up Weitering ... its great that something good finally came from such incompetence.

GC have improved a lot and more from a culture and game style point of view. Their teamwork is dramatically improved. So has ours but we don't have near the talent they do. However they have had 2 big weeks and there is every chance they will drop a little on Sat. I think they will win by 5 goals or so. We will have some moments though (ie Weitering).

after fifteen years and the same people in charge for the last few you don't see us winning much again..
But you think everything is going according to plan?
May I ask you what's going to plan here exactly?
This is a mind boggling mentality ofPosttraumatic stress disorder

Interesting indeed!
You cannot forget the past to understand any context.. You are here because of the past decisions made .
And you're also carrying those past decisions forward with you.. Plus it's the same decision makers who have made those choices those who will continue to what will crystallize on the football ground every minute, every quarter, every game, every season

I'm sorry but that is how it is

We have a very poor list and very bad culture with some very unfortunate habits.
That beast will contribute to raise its ugly head each time it's being challenged

That's human nature! In our case it's a collective nature which is a culture!

Remember when you see this over and over again.
You need to put it in its context.. It's something that evolved in our culture not by bad luck but by a history of choices

So let me get this straight. Because we have lost two matches, nothing has changed and it is the boards fault.
But kets play hypothetical. If we unbeknown to us , we had just appointed a brand new board, that just happened to be the best damned board in the history of football. What would you expect of the team performance right at this minute?
Would we magically be able to roll the swans or the hawks? What is the benchmark where you would be happy?

Well I've been out of what you call a shell for years my friend.. What are you talking about?

"The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. "-Steven Biko
So true! Loll
We have people who are hoping we might win so somebody who is never in his shell can return to a shell that never was..
Mush. ... Loser's fantasy!

How bout telling me were going to definitively win because we're a powerhouse club! A juggernaut! We are a twenty meter tall king Kong, made of steel! That we can scale skyscrapers and bring down jets!

Instead this bloke says after fifteen years of nothingness...

Just hope we win so he will crawl back into his shell"

What is that!? Lol

Sorry! I need to laugh! Haha

Please get realistic!

See things for what they are!

This is not a dig Synners but I honestly thought you'd been banned...again (and I've been banned once for trivial shit without an explanation nor a response to multiple requests for an explanation - but I guess that's how deep some mods are around here) as I hadn't seen you on here for quite some time.

But when we lose by 10 goals to a team at the top of their game, and who I think will go bloody close this year, you're back out.

You're certainly consistent with your views but I think you need to cut windy some slack. Was making an observation I think many, including myself earlier in the week, we're making when you suddenly showed up again post a big loss.

Nothing to do with losing to a team in top 4 .. Everything to do with what we have become under the regime...

Then it makes no matter what Bolton does.

Why are you on the fence about this? Declare all effort pointless.

Just admit it, you want us to do well.:)

I did say I feel sorry for Bolton
Im also wise enough to know he can't revolutionize the landscape of s football club that's the sick old man of Australian professional sport

I'll be rooting for him.

Poor bloke!

So on the fence then.

So much for the struggle.
