Bolts said from the outset words to the effect that CFC was going reset with a rebuild and internal development which would take time but during which the club would be looking for new green shoots. Pretty clear I thought - objective/strategy/KPI all there in one. In line with this strategy recruitment was focussed on talls who Bolts emphasized would take time to develop.

And here we are just two games into the season with the instant coffee brigade already not just wanting new shoots but a new forest ready for harvesting - two games, both against top teams from last year.

Good call. To add to that, even though we lost by 60 points, we had a clear game style and structure in the way we wanted to play which we didn't see all last year.

There is a totally different feel about our club. You can tell the players are buying in and it gives you confidence that they will give 100% the entire time. We shouldn't expect less.

I like you think that it is about time we had a clean out at board level -too many people have been there too long and apart from Jenkins the qualifications of board members is either ex footballers or billionaire /millionaire -where are the corporate governance experts -where are the experts in stakeholder engagement -where is the strategic / risk management experts -there is no evidence of these skill bases /experience on our board
Most of these board members have continually let down us members over dozens of years
Where we differ is that I think with the appointment of Bolton Craig Silvagni and Trigg the club is going in the right direction and it is not another false dawn

It was so bad that it will take a significant period to resurrect our fortunes each will play a crucial role but agree the board apart from enabling them should keep out of the way and try to set a broad strategic direction and set the appropriate tone and culture for the organisation
