Interesting to again see how ruthless SOS will be at the end of this looooong year..... ?

It's a valid question. If we're serious about this full reset, what value can we still expect from 'heart and soul' players who's best is either behind them, or unlikely to be realised here? It will be an interesting offseason.

Which senior players go though? We seemed unwilling to trade Murphy or Gibbs last year, have just signed Kreuzer and have little else of genuine value (I.e. First round picks in return).

Oh you were sitting with those "supporters"?

Probably best mates with the carlton supporter behind me who wished Daisy a career ending injury pregame.

What do you expect mate. ?
Carlton members to blindy accept the stupdity of the board that secured a broken player that Collingwood wanted him out as fast as possible?

I give Daisey a fair bit of crap myself........... but he was probably our best today. So, well done to him for showing some heart.

With that said............. he clearly isn't worth $700k.

I expect fans to recognise the recruitment of Thomas has not been a successful one. Move on from that now and just judge the guy on his merits. Give credit where it is due and criticism when necessary. Given that he was in our best couple of players today a reasonable fan should be able to put his pay cheque and recruitment to one side and just give him the credit he deserves for a good performance.

And to the point Em is trying to make, wishing a significant injury on any player is simply flog-like behaviour which shows more shortcomings in the supporter than there are with the player.

You laugh................. but it's no laughing matter really........................

Daisy @ $750k a year on a 4 year deal..........Malthouse @ $1million a year on a 3 year deal............... Nobody else were after either of them, yet we threw tons of money at them............ Damn, that set us back at least 5 years i reckon.

Eddie would be pissing himself laughing.

God we're stupid.

We are rebuilding.

Find a ruckman who can tap, mark and hit the scoreboard let alone the opposition.

Like all ruckmen a young one will take time to develop, so lets start at the end of this season.

Not all talls over a certain height are automatically rucks. Let's see how he plays as a forward and see how he plays as a ruck before deciding.

@ CECIL 89

i didn't wish a significant injury on Thomas - someone else said that
That said, Thomas came to the club with a career ending significant injury in any event.
pies knew he was finished..no but the current 7 of the 8 board who secured mick who then secured thomas with board approval

If they thought he was finished, why did they offer him a contract? Granted not what we are paying him but 1 was on the table.
