I'd say it's men vs boys, but they're younger than us, which is a sobering thought. Good to see us showing some heart, but if we're being brutally honest it's hard to imagine more than one or two of this lot being part of the next great Carlton team.

Lost our nerve at the end of that quarter, when steadying in the final 5 minutes, slowing the game down and constructing two goals against the flow would have put us just 15 down at the break.

Instead we took risks with tired legs in a tall side and we're down 38 points.

I agree.

We should have just constructed two goals.

We'd be in a better position if we'd done that.

Sakc!

I've always said the goalposts at Princes Park are not to AFL standard, we should build new ones that are.

Thank you for your contribution to society

GFY!!!

That is why we should be trading GIBBS and a few more out

A ten goal loss is probably par.

Not enjoyable but considering the two teams on the field it's about right.

Good to see there's generally been a fair amount of effort - no total dropping of the bundle as we would have in the last few years.

Four posters doesn't help and we've missed too many gettable goals. Could easily be 30 points down.

Just need to find a midfield somewhere.

Getting murdered.

No Cripps - no Carlton.

We've got a few more gelling together though Ex, I'm not miffed about what we've done for 80-85% of the game so far.

It's pretty clear that keeping White in the team ahead of Rowe was a bad call, because while White has been admirable, he doesn't have a solid match up and doesn't provide the chop out like Weitering can.

Weitering was regularly matching up on Heeney and keeping him under control (as an aside, the Swans could take a minute to pull Heeeney's head in, seems the wrong kind of arrogant).

I'd take whatever Byrne or Buckley could have mustered on the wing/HBF/HF today than what White's given us.

Lamb and Charlie haven't really been very competitive up forward either. Sumner needs to come in ASAP (a month away) and they need to rethink the forward structure slightly, I suspect through kicking Phillips to the curb and having Levi take some ruck minutes.

Yep! Even if we get a PP at the end of this year, we need a lot more because our depth is embarrassing. I think Parkin is pretty much right.

Too many players who butcher the ball, senior/'better' players included.

Floodgates now. Pretty @#$%&! disappointing.

Man for man they just look stronger and more powerful.

Clarity, confidence, decisiveness and skill also help but they just all seem to have thicker, more explosive bodies.

Hard to know whether that's a recruiting or training thing but our oldest players are our skinniest.

This is as weak as piss. looking like last year now.

We have no idea how to move a ball into the forward 50, then let it transfer down the other end with little pressure.
