Ciaran Byrne named for @NBluesFC but not out there. Could be a late in tomorrow for @CarltonFC

Byrne and Rowe probably just kept aside as fresh emergency replacements.

Apparently Buckley was pulled out of the game after 30 seconds as well.

Not as relevant, but I don't recall seeing Silvagni in the 3 quarters I watched.

I saw Silvagni walking to his car with SOS and Mckay and he looked very sore. Perhaps he played the game before or he is injured.
I didn't see him in the main game.

Guess he injured himself in the warm up

He didn't warm up. He wasn't going to play.

He was in civvies. Not club tracky or uniform. Left before the game finished.

Walked like he had played a game the day before or perhaps the development game?

He was named in the squad, the tweets from the NB comms manager said he was set to play, so what's the deal?

Is he injured?

That is the Silvagni family gait. Maybe they are going to sneak him into the seniors as a last minute emergency to avoid the fanfare.

It will be interesting to see the final make up of the team, Rowe and Byrne didn't play for NB yesterday and Buckley came off within minutes. Buckley mentioned a tight calf but seemed to be ok.

Looking forward to watching Patrick Cripps live today. Also keen to see how Charlie C handles the big stage.
Go Blues!

Rowe to Franklin would be daft to try again, given the utter disaster its been literally every other time its been tried. And it's not hard to see why. Rowe's the same height, but Franklin manages to be 10kg heavier and twice as fast.

If list management is a card game, Rowe is a 6 of spades. That card has its uses against some decks. But you don't play it into an Ace when you have two jokers up your sleeve.

I doubt Franklin has all that extra weight at the moment, but the idea was to put Rowe on the Tippett/Sinclair forward line rotation and have Weitering give the chop out that White will.

The occasional ruck rotation shouldn't suck us into going in too tall. Kreuzer and White can stand tall when they have to.

So really the question is who do you value more, Rowe or Jamison? Because playing the pair of them against one of the most agile forward lines in the competition gives me the heebee jeebees

So exciting that I'm not dreading Charlie being named as sub.
