It's this board's fault, you're all @#$%&! fired.

I love how in the very last paragraph of the story there's this:

"The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation has similar deals with Richmond, Essendon*, Collingwood, St Kilda, Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs. All make money from pokies."

I'm convinced the media just hate Carlton, should have been a wholistic article on the issue...but no

Or even an article on the clubs that don't make money from pokies.....I guess they had space to fill

Are you really shocked that the day after The Journey airs and we announce a positive sponsorship change that there are two negative Carlton articles in the HS? (Daisy article is just a rehash of 2014 & 2015 articles with inflated figures cause Ralphy got bored)

I don't agree that it's hypocritical. The Victorian Responsible Gambling Authority, and the responsible gambling message generally, is not anti-gambling.

Exactly ABNS.....people will wake up to it eventually

Their modus operandi is to remove in your face advertising and to educate on gambling responsibly

Port Adelaide isn't only club dabbling in Asia ... Carlton also in mix for opportunities @7NewsMelbourne @7aflgameday
Can confirm high powered Singapore businessmen met with Blues at Ikon Park early this week ... Singapore on front foot, deal looming
Blues confirm meeting, a little coy on what any deal may involve ... Denying rumours it may involve game in Singapore @7NewsMelbourne

Singapore is a smart target, much wealthier per capita IIRC.

Surprised we didn't give the Malaysian government a call after our previous sponsorship work.

So you are aware we did not give the Malaysian government a call?

I'm hardly lying half-dead in the gutter so I've no right to complain much, but it's Sunday afternoon and I've had a stuffed rib for over a month, including several days where I struggled to breathe.

Here's the re-written version: I'd be surprised if we didn't give the Malaysian government a call. That was my mistake, I'm going to go break into a cold sweat away from the keyboard now.

Please don't be like the muppets on here who just see a weak spot and attack, then call others immature when they finally buckle under the collective (and in this case, literal) pressure.

There an obscene amount of wealth in Singapore, I'm not poor by any means, but I'm sure made to feel poor here.

Could just be inviting developers for princes park, Singaporeans love building apartment complexes and developing in Melbourne

That's true of most advanced Asian countries and possibly a result of the remaining indigenous aristocracy of the British empire.

Seperately, China has an abuse of power via the communist regime, where responsibilities are inherited and vast amounts of wealth are shared among a small elite. In either case, there is a far bigger gap between the majority and what you would describe in any other economy as the middle and upper-class income earners.

And yet we hear mostly about America's woes in such indicators. :P

EDIT: added context
