Malthouse's Carlton has defeated Richmond.

:yikes:

You mean in 2013? With Ratten' s list..... What did he do when he had his own list... MM was the biggest disaster to ever happen to our club. The only silver lining is that it's made us see the light and never look for The Messiah again.

Reading the thoughts of Tigers supporters are insightful.

In short, last night's close result had nothing to do with improvement on our end, but was purely:
- Lids and Maric were missing
- On average, we had an older team than them

Can't see how Tuohy is on that bad list. He was one of the best from where I was watching.

Everitt, Casboult and Buckley should be worried about selection next week but I don't think we have any other options that can replace Casboult.

Expect Thomas and Bryne for Everitt and Buckley

The only issue I have with Tuohy is what appears to be a lack of awareness or trying to do too much, he gets caught with the ball far too often, I think he got caught twice last night and they were situations where he could have got rid of the ball to a teammate, not sure what's going on there

True, but he is so good with the ball in hand forward of centre that I forgive him at times. He setup more than a couple of goals last night and made a couple of crucial spoils against players a lot bigger and stronger than him which saved us on numerous occasions.

Jamison's awareness on the other hand :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Jamo looked a bit at sea last night. I thought Rowe had a good game, which is pleasing as I've been quick to bag him.
With regards to players getting caught, in the last quarter in particular, Doc gave a handball off to someone on the Members wing (can't remember who it was) which released that player, but he failed to apply a block and allowed Lambert to chase that player down. It was really poor from Doc and I imagine it will be highlighted in the post game review.

Are four points worth more than a shit load of respect?

Very happy that you're still around and supporting the blues, mickstar. We will do very well under bolts, I'm sure of it!...my granddad just turned 90 and I've told you about my blood lines...would love him to see a blues flag before he passes. Hope to catch you round soon Mate

So pissed off we lost. All due to our poor goal kicking imo.
Could be having so much fun on BF right now

We did better than I thought we would. The game could have gone either way, but we we always up against it when we weren't further in front at 1/4 time because it was always on the cards our 2 best players would run out of puff late after limited game time leading into round 1.

When it's close, you do tend to think about the missed set shots by Casboult and Walker. But then again, the Tigers fluffed a few too. We had enough forward entries to win, but not enough quality entries and we're one quality forward short.

Tigers worthy winners IMO, but the Blues should be encouraged - rather than deflated - by that performance.

After promising NAB Challenge form, I was a bit disappointed by Graham & Kerridge. I don't think it's a case of me overrating them (I don't), I just think they can both do better than what we saw last night. Graham looked to have heavy legs to me. And Kerridge copped a heavy knock early and I wonder if that effected him.
