Doesn't know his own limitations

Mad one mistake in the last by getting caught when there was no real options ahead.

His work throughout the game definitely has him on the positive side of things and in our best 5, imo.

Everitt, Casboult and Buckley should be worried about selection next week but I don't think we have any other options that can replace Casboult.

Expect Thomas and Bryne for Everitt and Buckley

The only issue I have with Tuohy is what appears to be a lack of awareness or trying to do too much, he gets caught with the ball far too often, I think he got caught twice last night and they were situations where he could have got rid of the ball to a teammate, not sure what's going on there

True, but he is so good with the ball in hand forward of centre that I forgive him at times. He setup more than a couple of goals last night and made a couple of crucial spoils against players a lot bigger and stronger than him which saved us on numerous occasions.

Jamison's awareness on the other hand :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Last night's performance is another example of what a @#$%&! disaster the appointment of Malthouse was :banghead: :donk:

Malthouse's Carlton has defeated Richmond.

:yikes:

Did anyone else get the impression that we played like we used to under Ratts? I know Dimma mentioned that in his presser, and, in retrospect, kinda made sense.

If that game was last year under Malthouse we would have lost by 40 points when Richmond got 16 points in front.
Bolton has united the club the first building block in the long process.

Yes and Ratts had Fev, Eddie and Jeffy to kick the goals for him. BB does not have that scoring potential at his disposal. If he did, we would have won last night.

McKay, Curnow and SOJ will all be very good players (at least... I think there might be some A-grade guns in there), and that's a forward line right there.

Don't forget KJ, Plowman and Byrne to come in for Rowe, Jamison and Simpson.

We already have 3/4 of a side that in the next few years will be playing finals. The kids need time to develop as individuals. The team needs more time to execute the game plan more consistently.

It's who we delist and bring in over the next two years that will determine whether we're top 4 or if we will be stuck in the second tier (like Richmond).

correct.

Didn't think much of Wright in preseason, but on last night's evidence he could be a very important goal sneak for us. Might be 40 goals a season in him.

Noticed SOS was in the coaches box. Working closely with Bolts they will be more aware than us mere mortals what the team make up has to be n 2-3 years.

Good luck!

Probably needs to sit in the box to fully appreciate what they are trying to achieve on field.

It should help SOS decide who they target/trade/draft.

We need to buy the cheer squad a heap of new gear and give free tickets to those who'll come in navy blue to fill the area behind them. That checkered flag is an embarrassment

Was looking at our Cheer Squad compared to Richmond's from where I was sitting.
How damn embarrassing.
Firstly it wasn't even half the size of Richmond's
Secondly, our banner was a budget priced disgrace. Gone are the days when it used to be a work of art on both sides.
But you cant say anything negative against them. They re so bloody sensitive.

Maybe it's a van this year and upgrades to everything else next year.

In transition to attack, yes; in defence, nope.

If we'd played like we did under Ratts the scoreline would have been 90-120

Given that we don't have a Recruiting Manager it should help immensely.

Buckley went missing tonight - I think Daisy might take his place next week.
Good effort however to be honest we were pretty much at full strength whilst Richmond were missing some key players.

I would say they were missing 1 gun and the rest are just so-so players.
