can you be more specific about the forward line set up jimmae

At training? They had free reign in the midfield, while the forwards had direct opponents so there's nothing to be read out of it beyond how we might approach delivering the football on a clean break on the counter.

The guys you'd consider to be primary forwards were mostly practising goal kicking in various drills and set shots at the other end.

Expect Everitt to roam from CHF to link up, and expect Phillips/Gorringe (if they play) along with Kreuzer to try and be the other release option before HF if they're playing forward or working from a midfield stoppage.

Can confirm both Kreuzer and Murphy were on the track too.

Such a taller list these days, but still shocked that I missed his head sticking out above the rest.

This looks close. I reckon the other one to consider would be Byrne (maybe instead of White).

White goes straight to Dusty... Will offer a lot more the Byrne at this point in time.

I don't necessarily think that this is the best team ... just trying to guess who they will go with.

I have a feeling they will play Byrne.

Thank god youre not apart of the selection committee :)

We'll see what happens tomorrow night.

White to Dusty is obvious.

White is a mongrel footballer he wont let Dusty brush him off, if you think anybody will do a better job i'd like to hear it.

White to Dusty is only obvious if White has kidnapped a third of the list and has a gun to your head and a series of ransom demands.

Curnow should run with Martyn. One tagger. No more 3 taggers and 0 ball winners. Those days are gone!
Our midfield need to become more accountable as a collective group.

In the Weitering jumper presentation, the video shows Paul Meldrum, Alex Marcou and Mil Hanna sitting ready to present their old numbers to first game players.

Therefore i would assume phillips and lamb will also be playing.

Lol you just a hater, White is one of our most experienced players and has earned the respect of the carlton faithful.

Unfortunately there is always going to be haters out there so keep on keeping on.

White played on Hunt primarily and blocked for Judd in last year's match, and we have Cripps now. White lost that match up.

White slowed Fyfe at the expense of our entire stoppage structure when he next played through the middle. If he could make better decisions by foot, he'd be great running off HB, but he's just not: Byrne is far superior.

Why would we play White just to play on Martin?

Up forward? Use Tuohy or Docherty. In midfield? Don't tag the muppet.

I agree with Jimmae on this one prefer byrne to white - white is tough and big bodied but like Rowe an abysmal decision maker and disposal is questionable
Having said that I think they will play white due to his experience

White is a lot harder than Bryne better over head and more accountable he is a very solid footballer and always comes to play with an attitude many of the guys at our club dont have. He has improved his disposal considerably over the years and really for mine is a very important piece of the puzzle if we are going to have any success this year.

We stop Martin we stop Jack we win thats why.

Abysmal decision maker really? Maybe in his first 3-4 years but he has matured into a very solid footballer and rarely makes mistakes he is accountable for everything he does and is one of the hard nuts this side needs to succeed.

Nothing against Bryne but beside a couple of flashes he has one jack shite to even be considered ahead of White.

yep blue magic shudder everytime he and rowe go near the ball - it usually results in the other side getting a look in if not a turnover and they tend to make the simple hard - know he tries hard and has got everything out of himself is committed but the fact that he and Rowe continue to get games and wouldn't in almost any other side in the AFL means we are not improving quickly enough in my view and is why we ended up bottom last year and will go close this year - my hope is that both Jaksch and Plowman will supersede them very quickly

Curnow goes to Cotchin and keeps him to 6 possessions for the first half.
Then Cotchin goes forward...

Vickery will kick 4 goals, which will be half of what he kicks for the entire season.

McIntosh will get 35 possessions and kick 3 goals before playing the rest of the season in the VFL.

We will hold possession for 75% and kick 8.19.67.

Martin will do nothing except kick 3 goals in a 4 minute spurt at the end of the third quarter.

I suspect that final score will not be far off the mark. Maybe not that many behinds.
