We are crying out for an effective key forward. I have the feeling that Andrejs Everitt could surprise if played at full forward, leading out of the square. Yes he has let himself down at times with weak attempts to tackle etc, but in some games he has looked a real forward with his marking and kicking.

Cheers for now

If Armfield isn't fit, then you just know they're going to play Lamb, but they really should be looking at one of Smith, Cuningham and Gallucci because they all look more dangerous around goal than him at present.

True, but I think that with our lack of good ball users that BB will try to use Gibbs outside more than inside.

Although Gibbs ball use in the pre-season was pretty bad.

Gibbs is an outside mid and an average one at that - he has never been an inside mid

Ffs really!
Looks like Bryce is the next one on the chopping block!

what is with blokes like you?

we just won the wooden spoon and all our players are untouchable .

He didn't go to the AGM and been on a non stop sook binge ever since.

I did go to the agm if that comment is addressed to me

Apart from Armfield ( still injured isn't he? ) you've nailed it, that's the same as my round 1 team, logic says they'll go with Lamb if Army's out.

our defence will be ripped apart

Jamo should have retired at years end but got a long 4year contract from Swan Sticks and Mckay - for that benefit he has obligation to play with both broken shoulders and protect Weitering for the next 2 years.. Jamo is the weak link and we MUST NOT destroy Weitering like they did with Watson (by putting him on Cloke in his 2nd game) even though weitering is a 3 classes above Watson

Completely different players but I know what you mean. Watson had physical limitations and no where the maturity and composure of Weitering.

I wouldn't play Weitering on Jack either but the only guy that can ruin Weitering's career is himself.

on the broader issue - if we had a geelong or hawthorn type recruitment and development weitering should be playing reserves for his 1st year

i fear that we will crucify him like kruezer who is next to useless now

There isn't a team in the competition that would agree with you.

I recall adam goodes spent his first year in the reserves. ..I stand to be corrected. ..he wasnt a no 1 though...boyd in the reserves in his 1st year...

The only reserves Weitering is fit for is the Army Reserve..

Stick to a running commentary on the state of the hovercraft, you're on safer ground.

Weitering doesn't play as your typical crash and bash tall. Wasted in the magoos.

The clubs are required to only let the first year players do 75% of the workload.

Weitering is a very, very, very good player and he's very, very, very fit, and that's why he's playing round 1, not because we're desperate (though we are).

Yep how do you reward a lazy, undisciplined and soft player?
Put him full forward

not exactly a new cultural drive

You were funny on CSC with all your "MLG and Trigg are steering us in the right direction".

Then something happened at the AGM. What was it mossie? Run out of pies, nobody took you seriously (hard to believe  ) ?
