In addition to the recent small article on this event in the Age, a number of versions of this story are likely to be told in the lead-up to the 100 year anniversary of the 1910 Bribery Scandal. Attached is is a link to one submitted by a new author to the Blueseum, one who has devoted a substantial amount of research time on Doug Fraser and Alex Lang in particular:
http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-read_artic ... icleId=100Interestingly, there is likely to be some discussion on this event (potentially with a different conclusion) in Tony De Bolfo's upcoming Carlton book.
As an aside, historically speaking its quite humorous that there is a Bribery Scandal surrounding Carlton players potentially 'playing dead' in the only year that Collingwood defeated Carlton in a Grand Final, which itself is almost 100 years ago. Since that time of course, Carlton has defeated Collingwood in 5 Grand Finals.
The new author of this piece, Craig Mackie, will be writing 3 parts to the story.
