Luckily I finish work at 3pm. Still, very unusual bounce time.

On a plane for all the game and replay.

Scratch that. Looks like I get to see the replay.

Was at training this morning...hopefully the kicking can improve between now and gametime...very few balls went through the big sticks. Pretty abysmal really.

Not sure.

Walsh looked lost to me, bit small, bit slow and iffy disposal.

Gowers is a far better kick, faster and bigger.

Haven't given up on Gowers yet.

I thought Casboult's goal kicking was very good this morning.

Field kicking with Cripps was good...goalkicking still a worry imo. Wright looked sharp. Walker didn't get out of first gear...but to be expected.

Cripps and Graham have similar neat field disposal...Graham much better in front of goals though...think it's just nerves or the way his mind thinks about goals compared to hitting a team mate, not a technique flaw like Juddy's.

Good to hear Wright is looking better, was a very handy player for the Crows a few years ago, but looked horrible when he first arrived at Carlton.

I would like the coaching panel to select whoever they want in order to prepare the team for round 1, a long tough year and, most importantly, the long climb back to the top where we belong in coming years.
Least important for me is to win tonight. Next least important is to beat the Tiges in round 1 (although it would be nice). Most important is to build a winning team over the coming 3 seasons or so.

I agree with the above but must be competitive. MUST.

Anything more than ZERO 50 metre penalties will be a FAILURE tonight.

need to kick more than 4 goals in total - be competitive - greater defensive application than last year (would not be hard) - senior players show more leadership

People who can get to this game on time are restricted to those like you emtwenty who are fortunate enough to be working in the city centre or who can knock off work early to travel.
In Darwin I am going to have to finish work at 3:00 to get home for the 4:20 start our time.

The irony of the situation is if the game was any other day of the year I wouldn't be able to make it.

I understand people have work etc - the joke is that today is the only day I plan on being near the CBD at clock off time

Can someone please explain the rationale behind a 5:50pm start time? Surely it wouldn't be great for TV ratings or for those wanting to attend.

I work from home. Just going to tell the boss (wife) I'm knocking off early.
