3AW rumor file said this morning that before the Essendon* game Carlton were receiving 350 new membership/renewals a day.

This week (after the loss) it has dropped back to 30 a day.

Yeah i said a few weeks back that we'd fall short by about 3k-4k........ and that's looking more like it by the day now.


However - 48k before R1 is still a mighty effort - considering how poor we were last year. It show supporters still have faith and we are a brand that we can build up on again.

It should be noted so far this year there's been a post-renewal/Christmas slump that's seen us essentially track the same as 2014.

I'm expecting a good Sydney result and a lot of upbeat press in the lead-in to round 1 for us to get 48k.
