The others still have a loooong way to go.

Agreed, but I get the impression the MC want another one in the side to keep Levi out of the ruck (protect his knees and workload outside of the forward half). Wood is the best of a very modest bunch, IMO, simply because his tap work is AFL standard and he can actually take a contested mark occasionally. Gorringe and Phillips might get there one day, but they don't look ready to me. McKay shouldn't be rushed, but he could be a smokey for round 1 if he impresses against the Swans.

I'm working off the idea that we want Casboult as our number one key forward, but if that doesn't diminish his ranking then yes, you're correct.

I posted a depth chart on BF the other day, I'll link it and post here:

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/2 ... t-43078462

Quote:
Depth chart:

Small defenders: Tuohy, Buckley, Simpson, Byrne, Sheehan, Viojo-Rainbow
Medium defenders: Plowman, Docherty, Jamison, White, Sheehan, Dick, Thomas, E.Curnow, Gowers
Tall defenders: Jamison, Plowman, Rowe, Weitering, White, Jaksch, Glass-McCasker, Foster

Clearance midfielders: Cripps, Gibbs, Kerridge, Murphy, Whiley, Graham, C.Curnow, Plowman, E.Curnow
Outside midfielders: Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Thomas, Boekhorst, Graham, Docherty, Cuningham, Wright, Walker, Smith, Sumner, Tutt, Viojo-Rainbow
Shutdown midfielders: Kerridge, E.Curnow, Thomas, Gibbs, Dick, Armfield

Rucks: Kreuzer, Phillips, Casboult, Wood, Rowe, Gorringe, Korcheck

Small forwards: Wright, Lamb, Armfield, Smith, Sumner, Buckley, Murphy, Gallucci, Cuningham, Viojo-Rainbow, Tutt
Medium forwards: Walker, Everitt, Docherty, Gibbs, C.Curnow, Silvagni, Kerridge, White
Tall forwards: Casboult, Everitt, McKay, C.Curnow, Jaksch, Kreuzer, Weitering, Foster, Gorringe, White, Rowe, Plowman, Jones

There's some consideration in there for likelihood of availability for senior selection and likelihood of them being primarily used in a particular role, but I think it covers the list very well.

Some rankings (eg. Rowe vs Weitering) are obviously extremely marginal and perhaps conservative, but that can all change inside a month of good form anyway.

I've done that double previously. Needless to say, after a full day of free booze and then the night, I struggled to find my way home.

That sort of thing can happen when you play with fight and purpose. That will come back with BB.

I have no doubt we can win the first game. Full strength, fit and motivated, new game plan and a new contract for Hardwick!

Agree emtwenry, It's scary we've decimated our talent pool and reinforced several other clubs.
Truley beyond comprehesnsion.
I'm hoping Bolton's journey, rebuild and developments plans begins to show the green sprouts we're desperately need.
He'll be a very good coach Bolts, but it's going to take 3 to 4 years at least , for us to get respect and achievements we all crave for.

It ll go down like this:
- Tiges get the early jump
- We re still in the game in general play, but just cant put the score on the board.
- Tiges are 28 pts up midway through the 3rd, when Yarran tries one of his smarta*se sprints out of defence, only for Big Levi to run across his path and BANG!!! Lights out for Yazz.
- The crowd explodes, especially the feral Tiges fans at the Punt Road End,
- Richmond are rattled and start going the man, taking their focus off the task at hand
- Carlton gets inspired by Levi's big hit, and all of a sudden the rub of the green starts going our way
- Bolton's big summer focus on fitness pays massive dividends, as Carlton runs over the top of the Tiges in the last term for a famous 3 point win.
- Weitering Rising Star nomination after keeping Jack goalless.

careful or you will go blind...........
