Sounds like a comment to me.

Pros:
Weitering
Graham

Sprouts from Curnow, McKay, Silvagni.
Boekhorst ok when some space started to open up.
Byrne pretty decent.

Cons:
Ruckwork waa abysmal.
Guys with a few years in the system didn't step up. E Curnow, Docherty and Casboult have enough runs on the board, but guys like Buckley, Whiley, Tutt and Lamb needed to show more.
Not enough from Smith or Cuningham to get a feel for whether they have much of a role to play this season.

Looks like we'll need all our experienced players available week in week out just to be competitive with the shit teams.

What worries me after two games is our lack of forward structure... don't know how we're going to kick a winning score.

Poor selections. I can understand leaving 1 Gibbs out but both of them.....crazy.

No Walker, Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Cripps, Kerridge, Thomas all best 22 players

No White, Armfield, Wright experienced fringe best 22 players

Simmo, Docherty, Jamison only played a half

I thought all of Weitering, Mckay, Charlie and SOJ showed signs

Galluci a little bit

Graham, Boek, 2E and Ed were ok

The rest very disappointing

Well, just no midfield at all... not sure why they didn't other picking any of the core 6 but will assume it's all loads and management.

When Ed is your #1 mid you know you don't stand a chance.

He was doubly missed today. Some form of kicking efficiency up forward would have been useful!

Positives:
Graham, Tuohy, C.Curnow, Byrne, Weitering were great for four quarters
McKay, Buckley, Boekhorst, E.Curnow, Silvagni, Smith and Gallucci were good/much better in the second half thanks to some extra run and spread
The kids showed some real ticker in the face of overwhelming embarrassment

Negatives:
Everitt unsighted again for two and a half quarters; hopefully just training loads
Casboult similarly poor
Disgraceful first half in terms of maintaining basic standards of structure and team defence
No one bothered to feed the ball out to Cuningham to get him into the game (zero touches in his half of football)
Lamb, Phillips and Whiley got shown up today against a side out for blood; we should hope they're on the fringes of senior selection for as little time as possible, so long as the last fortnight is their standard
Rowe dropped his head instead of trying to engineer how to win a difficult match up

Cosmic jokes:
Tutt
Jones

Got thrashed in the midfield and on the spread.

We had our whole first midfield missing.

Kreuzer is very important if we are going to get out of the bottom 4, let alone 18th spot.

IMO we looked better against Hawks. Shows how good K, Gibbs and Kerridge were/ are for us.

Cripps= first use of the ball. Will make a huge difference.

Weitering Our best.
SOJ is going to be good.
Curnow looked better.
McKay will be better than Pods.

Phillips Gorringe Cuningham disappointing.

Not as impressed with Graham as others seem to be. Slow.

He didn't dance out of contests bondi, but Graham was hardly slow of mind, especially while surrounded by superior athletes from both sides.

It was a practice match and they have so much more to play for than us.

We fielded a NB reserves team with a new coach just to see who could do what. We'll only see one or two of the duds in the team at any one time in 2016.

Today was try-out part 2.

Some horrific errors in the game - Phillips taking the ball in the first from the ruck, Tutt avoiding a pass to Jones 30m in the clear to go to a 50.50.....

Raise the quality of decision making and it will all change pretty quickly.

I don't care if you have 18 All-Australian players (as selected by the voting panel of Luke Darcy and Kevin Bartlett) out of your team...there is no excuse for only kicking four goals in a match. Who did they have on the forward line? Gomer Pyle?

These pre-season matches really are not positive experiences. They should just have internal trial matches, and no matches against other teams. I would prefer going into a season with fake optimism than knowing another year of disaster waits. I know these matches are about blooding young players etc...and the best 10 players were out, but even still...kick more than 4 goals please.

Maybe Zach Tuohy needs a stint in the forward line. Rob Peter to pay Paul.

Mckay should play ahead of Jones.

Can we please just give up on trying Jones.

Thats enough now.

I don't want to see Tutt, Jones and Dick play much senior football this year.m
