Intent is good, he gets the message, but that's probably due to the fact he is 6-7th in line for a game

We won't improve just because Everitt kicks 30 goals a season.

The only way we build a successful team is if EVERY player buys into the game style, is committed, unselfish and professional.

I'm not stamping Everitt's papers yet, but he is one player that gives the impression he may not survive the journey under BB.

I say that based on the past 12 months, not just on last night's game.

Time will tell...

So you base it on his last 12 months were he played under two different coaches, surrounded by several disinterested players, where he managed to kick over 30 goals for the worst team in the comp and finished well in the B&F? Yep sounds fair

Look he has areas he needs to work on but he's not Robinson Crusoe there.

He will play plenty under Bolton I have no doubt.

Lots of people are reading waaay to much into a preseason game.

The only thing I'm comparing it too is last year's first preseason game.

And this one was far better. Looked like we had a plan we were at times successful at implementing.

We are a club setting new standards.

Everitt phoned it in plenty of times last year when it was his turn to do the 1%ers. Big deal if he finished 7th in the B&F of a team that won 4 matches for the year. Kicking an average of just over 1 goal a game hardly excuses him from doing the team things.

He is 27 and has been in the system for a decade. I think he has picked up some bad habits on-field and needs to reset his standards.

He has talent and he has been an OK pick up for us, but I will be very interested to see how he goes under BB. Personally, I think he is one - not the only one - who will need to change or he won't last long on our journey under BB.

That's just my opinion. And it is not based on one practice match.

I liked Lamb's aggression at the ball and man.
I didn't like Everitt's lack of aggression at anything.
Phillips has a crack. Reminds me of Mark Porter.
We looked more organised, but there is still a lot of improvement to come.
Don't expect the umpiring to improve this year.

One thing I was surprised by was the amount of support in the crowd. We really need to do more to tap into our support around the country.

Agreed...no South Australian based matches in 2 years is a disgrace.

Given we struggle to retain or attract Victorian supporters, we should be looking after our SA and WA supporters as much as we can.

People complain the AFL hand Hawthorn everything, but given we still seem to have good support in Tassie, what are we doing to build on that? Two games down there this year is a good start. Hope we're doing more.

We were never going to win.
It was a first hit out.
I am pleased we didn't com a major injury.
Our midfield was severely depleted and will be a far cry fro that one.
Players have problems reading the flight after six months off so marking is always a bit tricky.
They ran and they ran. That's what BB wanted.

I was pretty pleased with the way it went.

Next week we play the drug cheating club. I hope we win that one, practice match or not.

It's a good story, and frankly he's a lot more up to speed than people think.

Won't win an arm wrestling match, but otherwise has a strong body. The only risk is that with such open competition for spots at Bomber land, they might not leave much in the can.

Great experience for him.
Even better marketing for the club.

I reckon the filthy drug cheats will target him after missing out on him in the draft.

Was rapt about that too. Was strange hearing the same amount, if not more cheering for us than the Tassie Hawks.
Hoping they come out again in droves when we play down their later in the year.
