Great game (no injuries).
The result is nugatory.

Kerridge, Graham good early form.

Casboult showed plenty.

Nobody clunks them all.

Still a lot of Deer in the headlights stuff
I know it's the 1st game, but we will improve massively if we can just find some composure.
Especially under pressure.

He flinches everytime he goes for mark cause he thinks he will get hit. That's why he drops em

Sprayed the football terribly and often got forward of the ball to zero effect, gumming up the play.

He did run hard though.

The Big Question that is going to be asked every week is " Who on earth is going to kick the Goals for us"??

Should we start getting used to a 4 Goal game? I seriously do hope Bolton has a serious plan of attack because asking Casboult to be our number 1 forward is never going to produce more than 5-6 goals a game....

Curnow Junior is far from ready!! We are in for a very long and painful season :(

Still kicks it to the other team when he gets it. Takes a good mark. If he has a day where he doesn't take any marks all we will be left with is a bloke who kicks it to the other team IF he gets it.

On the positive side clearances were +10, won contested possession hitouts, inside 50s even.

Loads of work for the forward coach. Same old problems struggling to score.
I was still happy to see the run and share. There will be plenty of frustration this season but plenty of enjoyment watching the young blokes as well.

Add Cripps, Murphy and Weitering to the unsighted group. They were terrible. They were all good for around 5 minutes and then went missing. Terrible game!!!

Bye Jones, bye Tutt, thanks for playing

Jones has been Alex Jesaulenko compared to Andrejs Everett

If the goal of the game was to look like a human-jellyfish hybrid, bouncing off the packs and flailing on the ground after the first effort, I'd agree with you.

Jones is blowing up after 20-30 seconds; Everitt played an entire half before Jones stepped out.

Jones tackled and chased hard. Everett jibbed it at least twice. He was a non contributor.
Jones has a lot of work to do but he deserves credit when its due.
