In 2 years time I would hope for something like this.

B: Doherty, Glass-McCasker, Tuohy
HB: Byrne, Weitering, Buckley
C: Boekhorst, Gibbs, Cunningham
HF: Silvagni, McKay, Everitt
F: Sumner, C. Curnow, Wright

R: Kreuzer, Cripps, Murphy

I: Graham, E. Curnow, Kerridge, Plowman

I'd hope Smith would be in there somewhere.

Yep ... a lot of guess work here. I still have hopes for Casboult and Smith. Then of course there will be other draftees. Time will tell.

Would think Jaksch would be there before a rookie.

Yep ... you are probably correct. I just haven't been that impressed with him yet.

If we're looking at a team for a few years down the track it's worth considering what we currently have in terms of players 23 and under. I've attempted to put them into a bit of a lineup:

Buckley Glass-McAsker Plowman
Docherty Weitering Byrne
Boekhorst Cripps Sumner
Kerridge Jaksch Curnow
Silvagni McKay Smith
------ Cunningham Graham

Whiley Viojo-Rainbow Gowers Galluchi Dick Foster

It's not too bad. It lacks midfield depth, it lacks a ruckman and, at this time, it's completely unproven in the key positions. I think it shows that we're probably one young key position player short (Glass McAsker at fullback is the most speculative at this time) and we're definitely lacking midfield depth and quality. The ruck doesn't bother me because it seems easier to recruit experienced ruckmen than to develop them from scratch.

and probably so too our first Pick in 2016 could be good enough to play 2017.

I am really keen to see what Gorringe Philips and Plowman bring to The Best 22.
I reckon Dale Thomas will be around and in good nick.

Glassy looks the goods for FB.

Mostly an agreeable team. But I hope Jaksch comes on and takes a KPF spot. Glass-McCasker sounds the goods as a stopper too. But I hope we have some newer guys come into the team. So in that case I make a case for Wright, E. Curnow, Kerridge and Graham for their spots to be questioned. Sumner and Kreuzer are players to be unsure about fitness wise too. Especially if we want to be playing finals in that time.

Lets hope Cripps doesn't want to do a reverse Judd and head back to WA in a couple of years.

Unless we change our toxic environment, which I think the club is trying to do, you will likely see more Henderson and Yarran situations.

This is an interesting team and like Cecil, I also like looking at the under 23 team look.
I would make a couple of positional changes, ie. Doc & Kerridge midfield, DVR back flank but apart from that it looks quite good. Sure plenty of unknowns but also plenty of talented youngsters in that lot as well! Maybe SOS does know what he is doing and if Bolton can develop.....well.

At our current churn rate, wouldn't be surprised to see up to half this fantasy lineup moved on, three years tops.

U25 team looks a bit better in terms of the ruck situation. :P

I'd hope not!
This will have meant we traded & receuited poorly for the next couple of years. We need to have a few more new faces to ensure there is real growth.
