I reckon Kerridge and Phillips should be in the depth group, while Smith might work his way into the speculative group if the training reports are anything to go by.

Agree.

Is quite concerning.

Our recruiting record suggests we will have 2 core players from your 9 speculative core players.
I am concerned.

I would say all these players will be under the microscope next year;

Boekhurst, Jaksch, Byrne, Sheehan, White, Graham, Phillips, Vojo-Rainbow, Casboult, Armfield, Summner, Gorringe, Whiley, Jones, Tutt and Smith.

That's 16.

He'll be 27 at the start of the season?

The trading in of the extra 3rd rounder for next year is pretty astute. We can package that with the pick we accrue in next years 3rd round to one of the clubs needing points in the bidding system. That alone will see us move up the draft order.

You can add Foster, Dick, Gowers and Wood to that list which brings it to 19.

I think we are in for another big cull, our recruiting in the last 5 years has been diabolical.

Gibbs has won a b&f, finished top 5 more than a few times, hasn't even turned 27... and he's aging ?

Yep. Not sure why you're adding achievements in?
By the time we are any good he will be close to retired.

Gibbs has shown to be a very durable player (with the exception of some unlucky injuries this year) that he's probably just reaching the half way point of his career. Seems the type (like a Sam Mitchell) to power on through the early 30s.

We will finish bottom 4 and will receive 1 top 10 pick
One good trade and we draft 2 in the 12.

2 good midfielders would be a terrific start

I still think we are 2 Key position players short even if Mackay and Curnow make it
1 key Backman
1 Genuine Key Forward (Tomlinson?)

Add to that 5 quality mids and at least one small forward

Realistically we need 2 more drafts and 4 seasons before we are top 8 side = Bring on 2020.
