This is what irks me. We are handing over money so clubs such as North and the WB benefit from us. It is a joke and has to stop.

You're talking about a quarter of a million dollars. What about the other million +...or doesn't that concern you?

Of course it does. I don't see why we have to hand over money that we cannot afford to go to other clubs that are in a better position on and off the field than we are.

So when more money comes Carlton's way from the future fund - will you advocate that other clubs not have to pay their equalization tax to boost Carlton's coffers?

Oh, sorry, were not brown and gold.

Good on you robertbb.

Our debt crisis is not entirely our doing.
There was something which triggered the downward financial spiral and the AFL about face without compensation was a financial disaster for our club.

Yes we are responsible for the on field performance but the AFL has always had someone on the Commission with some sort of silly vendetta against a Carlton Board member or two, and found the best way to get at them was by hurting Carlton.

What the @#$%&! are you guys smoking? Mike Fitzpatrick has been chairman of the Commission since 2007 - a commissioner since 2003.

Stop playing the blame game. Carlton has been its own worst enemy.

if you're referring to the post just befor your response... referring to decisions pre Fitzpatrick re Mothballing Carlton as an AFL venue in favour of Docklands, 2002 draft penalty handed down by Evans, Samuel's decision to not allow car park development at Princes Park.

No doubt CFC is responsible for our on field performance since 2002 (4 spoons).
No doubt CFC focussed on Football Dept (with no effect) spending rather than Debt pay off.
No Doubt CFC could have done better since 2002, but they didnt.

I know it sounds like a winge against the AFL. I can't dismiss AFL's role in our debt which we've had to carry. And even when (if) we are successful, debt free and flying I will still not forget some Commissioners' anti Carlton vitriol.

I wouldnt expect clubs in financial trouble reporting losses to be propping us up.
The clubs that can afford it should be the one's contributing. I understand that we have had to chip in because we made a profit a couple of years ago. I assume we will not have to do so now.

The board.

Wow, that's delivering significant change.

What? And that hasn't been offset by having our second best ever captain as the chairman of the commission for 8 years?

Can someone explain why the AFL are paying Paul Roos to coach Melbourne, why they are giving them millions and why do the MCC give Melbourne money to compensate loss of members when other clubs also have a high number of members who are also MCC members?

As for the CareerOne thing, while the logo looks a bit tacky on the jumper, I like the idea of the club associating with a national recruiter that could expose the club to lots of young'uns.

Serious question - do people still use CareerOne?

It's why they're advertising on a footy jumper is it not?

2nd most used employment site on the net miles ahead of 3rd place.......just triple those miles to first place seek

It's how the Internet rolls in most sectors, one site killing it, another making ends meet and the rest fighting for the dregs.

Except media and porn sites that is!!!!

I'm not sure that's correct Teagueyubeauty. I reckon that LinkedIn would be ahead of it and probably by a fair bit.

I just spent 5 minutes on careerone and I'll never visit the site again. It's not great.

Yep, it's pretty average.

I'm just grateful we have a sponsor given the stench that has been coming out of Princes Park.

So how much is Career One tipping in per year?
