They need that may because after round 1 half are going to be melted.

Because they're no longer a basketcase of a club. Sure - they haven't won finals - but they're a very well run organisation. I've said on many occasions that Brendan Gale is a really good CEO and whenever I do I get howled down by Carlton supporters who are as much out of touch with reality as the current Carlton board.

It's a sad but inevitable state of affairs, I just hope the dissenting faithful can see that we are doing it the right way this time...... Unfortunately the right way takes a lot of patience, but it's no different to the way Richmond have built. The board created the message and followed through, no shortcuts. Pissed me off greatly that they didn't bend on Yarran but you know what, I'd be absolutely stoked if that was our club who did the same thing.

Just hope we build it better than they have!!!

Build it to the message and they will come...

The board remains unaccountable. That's not doing things the right way.

The pres and by extension the current board are as accountable by their actions of the last 12 months than any board in the history of my interest in the football club.

They have nowhere to turn, all positions of any interest are a direct appointment of the current board.

I think what you're trying to say is give us an alternative to vote on..... well yep, once they remove their shyness from the deep dark shadows we may have an alternative....

The Gooch won't hang around if it fails, he's put his balls on the line by trying to change 150 years of just being Carlton and @#$%&! the rest!!!!!

I really hope it works because we need to remove the historical messiah complex this club has, used to work a treat..... I really fear for the club if it doesn't

It's an unaccountable oligarchy. Everyone knows it. Silly to deny it.

Won't be for long, slowly but surely dismantling the oligarch iron stranglehold the club has been held too for as long as I can remember.

It'll take another year, but those left on the board will either sizzle or fizzle and be forced out as there will be no place to hide.

I fully expect an uprising of sorts, but the replacements will be a ticket made up of those you deride

For what this is worth, because it is hearsay, my source had it direct from Fahour about two years ago that the Board asked him to stand for Prez. His reply in as many words was "First you spill all Board positions and let the members vote. Then we will decide". They declined. Now he has clearly had enough.

FYI....most clubs have a target to sign up 98% of their members before the season begins (H&A), and 70% before Christmas. Carlton no exception.
