I realise I'm all over the place with that post. Potting the club for not doing more, yet I probably should be aiming my angst for the AFL.

Port and Adelaide home games will near sell out regardless of who they are playing, and how many Carlton supporters go, same with Freo and West Coast however we will pull numbers to the Qld, NSW and Tas games to boost crowd figures and revenue hence why 5 of our 6 games are at those venues....

On the flip side Carlton v Adelaide at the MCG, as opposed to AAMI, will get 10,000 away Adelaide Crow fans travelling over.

I'm morphing into tap '79.....

I agree, I'd rather see one Carlton match in NSW, and the occasional double up here, and at least one match in the other states than the all-or-nothing approach. Because I know it will mean that come 2017, 18, 19, Sydney probably won't get any Carlton matches. Crazy

Really disappointed we have no game in Adelaide AGAIN.

I promised the kids last year we would book Adelaide to see new venue as soon as the fixture was released. It didnt happen and kids were disappointed. So I took them overseas as a treat. Nothing in 2015 and now nothing again in 2016.

Carlton have a great fan base there and along with Perth it feels like a home game despite many Perth supporters being.....lets say Neandethal with their behaviour.

Sunday games doesn't suit me as an interstate traveller.

Glad about the 2 games in Sydney. We will go to Tassie for the first NAB cup game against Hawks because we can visit Mona whilst we are there.

We will buy the minimal membership package this year just to support the club, and possibly attend 2 Sydney games because the AFL shit me. I've got to quell my addiction to AFL and the AFL is helping me do this.

The Swans must be being forced to play out the contract at ANZ.

Works for me, I'm hoping for either freebies, or media pass for that match

Surely if there's a week off after round 23 they could have confirmed the round 23 game times?

I like how there is a two month stretch in the middle of the year where we wont be seen by non-pay TV viewers

Fully understandable but it hurts. Another reminder of how poor we are and that we are miles away from being a power club.

The only silver lining is the 'almighty backhander' this undoubtedly is for the powers that be.

It's not only the wider football community they need to earn trust back with...

Well ... I am one person who is extremely pleased with the fixture ... Friday Nights and Saturdays don't work for me.

This year all those Sunday games are a big bonus ... give me my membership! (and there is no Madhouse ...)

Looking forward to being there live to see an attacking brand of football at last.

No, Morangate was 2008.

2010 was the last one. White's first game and Yarran, Garlett and Hoops electric up forward.

This fixture is ridiculous. Talk about getting poorly treated. We play all the top teams in consecutive weeks. All flower 17 of them.

Good. Further reinforcement that this is ground zero and the build is on. The club and playing group will need to earn their stripes.

That's one way of looking at it.

The other is there is a battle for Melb based teams within the AFL and we just went from one of the big clubs, to one of the shit clubs.

If you think we are going to win our place back through hard work, I reckon you're dreaming.

We'll win our place back through improved onfield performance. This all happened five years ago when we moved up the ladder. the AFL fell over themselves giving us prime slots.

Carlton rates and draws extremely well. Once the onfield product is considered reliable by the AFL, they'll accommodate.

Not many Sunday arvo games get televised FTA in w.a.
Even if they are scheduled, there is usually a clash with a w.a team.

They'll probably prefer re-runs of Bonanza over a CFC footy match.

Bit disappointing.
