There goes my opportunity to get to any games next year! i wonder how the ratings relate to the ladder positions of the teams. Personally I am only interested in Carlton and rarely watch any other games. If there is a crucial cut-throat match on Friday night between any 2 teams that aren't Carlton I could not give a sh1t and wont watch.

Interesting to see how many CFC games will be live on Fox because if they are cut there as well I might have to review the enormous fee I pay them too, no point paying for televised games i wont watch.

One will be rolled out in November. The other probably in the new year as the ink isn't really dry yet.

Can you give us a hint? Or any details on $$$

Rolled out in November. Sounds like an NBN slogan.

One replaces Mars as a joint partner and the club ought to be congratulated on that deal as it's quite strong given the clubs position...and the second replaces William Hill as a Gold sponsor. It's a really difficult time to be after new corporate partners - so the club has done particularly well in this regard.

Replacing William Hill is a good move as long as they don't replace them with another betting agency.

2 games in Adelaide next year please to make up for this years oversight.

Can be at 2am on a Wednesday morning for all I care.....

I doubt we will play Adelaide twice. They finished in the top 6 so in theory we only play one of none of those teams twice.
My guess is that we will cop Hawthorn twice again just for laughs.

Don't have to play them twice kezza, just once is fine....

Considering we haven't played Adelaide in Adelaide since 2010 I'd suspect we're due.....

OK if that's what they want - stupid to offend the whole carlton fan base which is large Australia wide -dumb to not give us one - just don't watch friday night football and see how channel 7 ratings go

Don't take it personally. The Bulldogs have not had a Friday night match since 2012. From 2017, just about every weekend is going to look like this. Plenty of opportunity.

- 1 Friday night game
- 2 Saturday afternoon games
- 1 Saturday twilight game
- 2 Saturday night games
- 2 Sunday afternoon games
- 1 Sunday twilight game

I'm undecided if I want to play adelaide in vic or SA. On one hand I could go see Menz live .......but on the other it might be too painful still and probably safer if the game is in SA.

Maybe we should play Adelaide twice. Once in SA and then in Vic

Long way to come just for an SANFL game Em....

That last sentence and your username are out of sync.

We don't deserve Friday night games anyway.
Better for us to hide away of Saturdays and Sundays until we re a bt more competitive.

Is it just me or we have a lot of emotional people over not much?

So what if we dont play friday night. I actually would rather watch a competitive game on friday night with mates at a pub than a carlton bad loss.

This game is a business and if we were on the stock exchange our club is very low on stock. No one wants to watch carlton right now. Afl wants to attract new business, not lose business. They need their ratings up for the next tv deal. The game is no longer for supporters but big business. When you realise that you will be less emotional. They dont care about sponsors coming to cfc as they will top us up anyway if they have to.

Because football is just like the stock market.

Better write that down.

I get what you mean but do you think the big businesses would buy advertising time if there were no supporters?

Also, most businesses wouldn't want to disassociate themselves from such a large market.

In fact, the AFL are taking a big gamble. If Carlton front with 35,000 members next year and the crowds continue to drop they have problems. Consider a world where 20 Essendon** players get WADAed and Carlton are nowhere to be seen. It's not a business model I'd actively pursue
