Don't need it? Maybe getting another 3rd rounder somewhere else?

Think it's a great trade, helps significantly in dealing with GWS. If those pretenders relent and give pick 12 Thursday 2pm will be massive.

11,20 an 21 for Tomlinson and co. and Pick 8. I think it's a massive chance of happening

No need to throw in pick 12, GWS would get the points they need off 20 and 21. I'd be pissed if we got 12 and handed it over to GWS. The mooted GWS boys haven't set the world on fire and have struggled to get games. It shits me that Collingwood are picking the cream Adams and Treloar and we're looking for the leftovers and are apparently willing to spend big to get them... I don't get it!!

You do know that Adams was playing VFL at times during his 3rd AFL season?

What are people's thought on,
Brodie Martin from Adelaide, delisted FA.
Sam Kerridge from Adelaide, out of contract, probably 3/4 rounder.
Cal Twomey from AFL website reckons, Jacob Weitering is too good for blues to pass him up.
Reckon Casboult is going no where.
Happy if we pass on Adam Thomlison, will cost to much.
Would like, Plowman and Phillips, not sold on Sumner and Lamb.
Pick 12 for Yarran, after Astbury failed the medical, ball is in our court now, if not he stays, or the Hawks pick 15 for Yarran??
Bell worth pick 21 from lions?? Yep.
This would leave us,
Pick 1, 12/15, 20, 21, 41 and 59.
Pick 1, Weitering lock.
Pick 12/15, draft the best available. Or Yarran stays.
Pick 20, draft the best available.
Pick 21, Plowman and Phillips. Sumner/Lamb part of the deal??
Pick 41, Sam Kerridge.
Pick 59, is there a little gem there?? Pick the best/our needs.
Later picks probably upgrade players.
With Weitering and Plowman coming in, our backline looks better already.
Phillips can take over the hopefully delisted Warnock.
Sam Kerridge plays wing/midfield.
First year of our rebuild looks ok. Have Henderson first rounder for next year, good start.

Jack Silvagni?

Wouldn't be surprised if we target Tomlison next year.
He will be out of contract next year.

I'd trade up our picks if I could this year to GWS.

pick 1, 8 12 into the draft this year and
Pick 2, 15 and maybe 17 for Casboult next year.
That's a lot of elite talent there: 6 of them...better than Tomlison, Carlisle, Aish, Lennon and as good if not better than Treloar in a few years.

Have missed something?

I understand that Yarran for pick 12 from Richmond is possible, but what is the scenario for us getting pick 8?

Ditto???

Are people suggesting picks 20 & 21 to GWS for pick 8? That's madness?

don't get me wrong, i'll take it but I just can't see it happening.

I think it's to do with academy picks etc, give up 8 and get two players with the 2nd round picks, rather than waste 8 and have to find another pick

I have't been following it closely but have noticed reference in few different online forums to GWS being prepared to trade first round draft pick for more than 1 second rounder. Apparently this helps them secure their academy picks that if not tied to them would be first rounder anyway.

It's all about the DVI points....yes it's ridiculous but the latest makey uppey project of the AFL is to make 2 early 20's picks worth more than pick 8. GWS will be burning pick 8 + whatever else it takes anyway on academy players.

Dumb, ridiculous, stupid but let's help out GWS whilst helping out ourselves!!!!

20 & 21 are worth more points than 8 (and 7 for that matter) so GWS would do it, but we'd be silly to do either trade.

I think people were discussing packaging 12, 20 and 21 for 8, Tomlinson, Plowman, Sumner, Lamb and Phillips (again we should try for 7) but I guess we'd have to see what Richmond offer up.

Hmmm.....that trade makes me a little uneasy. They can keep Summer and we keep pick 20, then take 7 rather than 8. Would love that.

The longer the Yarran thing drags on, te harder it will be to get other thigs over the line unless there is already an agreement in place.
I can only hope we stick fast for #12 and Brisbane stck fast with Aish going to the PSD.
If we miss one we get the other.
Nick Stevens was a great servant of the CFC after wanting to go to Collingwood and being picked up in the PSD.

The only reason why I can think Aish wants to go to Coll is to build his profile at the biggest club. He wants to become a big name. I can't see how Coll would be throwing more money at him than anyone else. He is the 6th or 7th midfielder in that team. If he took a minute to think about the fact that he needs to get opportunity and game time in the midfield to be a star, he would come to Carlton and back himself.

He has flog written all over him.

Mind you, I just made that whole thing up but it makes sense.

Aish is best mates with Matt Scharenberg.
Can't wait until it's Friday, getting sick and tired at looking at the afl website every half hour..

go to the draft with multiple draft picks and create our own team and the only player we should be chasing is tomilson.

Sam Kerridge - Pick #27 @ 2011 National Draft. Considered to be midfield, tagger or small forward player.
