Geez that second quarter goal of JK's on Sat night was an absolute gem. Mark at full stretch on the lead, up and running off his opponent still sprawled on the ground, and then a great angled goal at full pace.
Lifted the roof, just when WC were on the ropes. Gun. Really modest and likeable guy.
Wish the best for him

Setanta and Aisake were part of the Albury Tigers back to back flags on Sunday and I noticed Adam Bentick playing for St Bernards in their exciting win in the Ammos GF.

The issue with the Kennedy trade was we could have probably got it done with pick 1 and pick 20, or at worst pick 1 and 3 for Judd and pick 13 but we rated Kreuz higher than Kennedy. We were wrong. so we ended up with no CHF and four rucks, one a #1 pick, one a #17 pick, one we gave up 2 picks for and Jacobs who has turned out the best of them. Whichever way you dice it having four players on the list who can only play first ruck is bad list management

To be fair, I'd suggest 99% of the football population rated the No.1 pick higher than Josh Kennedy to that stage.

Great stuff! Happy for them. I always loved Setanta.

Aisakie could have been a superstar. Saw him do some freakish stuff. Pitty.

Mick Stinnear, one of Caz's faves from memory, coached the Oakleigh chargers to b2b flags. Good to see a guy with a wonderful attitude making his way as a coach

While I hate seeing all our old players playing for other clubs none of them have won a premiership. Looking back at the records the last one I can find is Troy Bond back in 1997 for Adelaide and I'm hardly going to feel bitter about that.

Fantastic achievement by Ratts to win 3 premierships with the Hawks.

Must be a very bittersweet offseason for him :|

You are right. I wonder where we'd be if we still had Ratts. I wouldn't be surprised if he gave a few words of warning to BB before he took the job. We are probably a different club now though. Malthouse has beaten all of the good out of us.

We would have won if we kick a bit straighter.

Graphics like that tell me people don't understand how forward lines function, as though you could add two top key forwards and two top small forwards into one forward line and it's automatically the highest scoring in the competition (provided it gets enough inside 50s).

Kennedy's the only one of those five who consistently makes his team better for his contribution, and he sure as shit didn't learn how to do that at this football club. The rest's weaknesses are papered over easier when they're not all in the same forward 50 (though admittedly Betts is far less of a liability than Waite, Robinson and Garlett).

12 months on it's the fart sound of football jokes, not that the bar is set very high.

All of them added significant value to their clubs this year Jim.
Al Australians, best and fairests. To suggest they're liabilities is laughable.

That's not what I said; you've quoted me, I suggest you re-read what you quoted.
