But his speech was pretty awesome. I'm on board for the ride.

And the decision to delist Giles has me re-thinking my ticket for the ride. Not happy.

His foot is stuffed. Will never be able to sustain an afl career with it. Time to move on unfortunately.

Yeah I can't understand what it is that people see in Giles? When has he actually played in the last 2 years? What has he shown that makes anyone think for a split second he is worth keeping? I was releived when I heard he was delisted. We don't need list cloggers.

Bolts is so refreshing!

Its OK, you can always see his highlights package while he was at the mighty blues any time you like for the rest of your life. See the link below.

There's a reason other clubs have much better lists than our's - they don't delist players simply because they WERE injured. I mean, I'm sure Geelong are really regretting holding onto Menzel for 4 recos. Hawthorn have stuck with Woodward through 3 recos without a debut. It's just typical Carlton to cut a Giles and retain old plodders.

We kept Rhys O'Keefe on our list for five years and that worked out well.

Also those clubs were in a far stronger position to be carrying injured players. We can't waste list spots on guys who don't play at any level. We need to see what everybody brings to the table.

We did, and we rocked him and he got a shot. However I wouldn't compare ROK to Giles. Giles had the same injury that troubled him but was recovered. ROK had everything go wrong with all parts of his body. Clearly injury prone.

We are a team with the worst KPPs in the league and are about to lose Lachie. Yet we delist someone who was highly rated in his U18s as a defender and instead go looking at Josh Walker. Great stuff.

I suspect if that was the case he would have been retained.

I would if that's what his mentor believed. But his mentor believes he'll be at another club.

Are you basing this on his "he'll be back on a list in no time" quote?

Neil Craig has emerged as a leading contender for the Carlton director of coaching position, with chief executive Steven Trigg confirming the former Adelaide coach has held talks with the Blues.

New senior coach Brendon Bolton has interviewed Craig, who heads a list of candidates for what is shaping up as a major overhaul of the Carlton coaching team.

The one here: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/n ... jrrvl.html

The club is also looking to carefully handle the sensitive predicament faced by the Blues' 2015 caretaker coach, John Barker, who missed out on the senior role and did not attend the Carlton best and fairest count last week.
