I am angry that the Carlton brand is being debased and being used as a plaything by the AFL.

It is time that something is done.

I see no joy or pleasure in Carlton finishing last. It sickens me.

Unfortunately we are in an excellent position to get the best out of the draft. We have had so many dips to the bottom of table, supporters are dropping off like flies. Same old rubbish. Yesterday, I didn't know the game was on until my brother called asking if i wanted my membership ticket back. I went to 3 games this year at about $220 a game. I don't know if its the game that is boring, or just Carlton stinking so much (im pretty sure it is the game). year after year it's the same.

I might pick up a general admission membership next year, just to keep the continuity. But we have to get this draft trade period right. DONT LET the opposition take our players for RUBBISH picks. I'd rather the players get pushed to the back of Bourke than walk out for little compensation to Carlton. if we let continue to allow our GOOD players to leave for next to nothing... my interest in the game will become even more minuscule. A lot of Fitzroy's good players jumped ship over the years.. that is where we are. this year is the last chance, mess this rebuild up... gone.

That's a shit record. Hello AFL we need help.

How many bottom 4 finishes ihave we had over the last 14 seasons?

......6 bottom 4 finishes in 14 years. That's almost on average once every 2 and a bit years. What a nightmare!

We are the VFL Saints in the AFL. I believe we are in trouble but more importantly if we don't get this right and start to rebuild the culture (if we can now), then it's curtains on the Carlton we knew and loved. Carlton never used to lose players that could play and it wanted. Carlton were the team professional stars wanted to come and play for success. Remember those days? Our supporters despised missing the finals for 1 year, now they despise missing out on the no.1 picks!!! It really is that simple.

Yet we have still won more finals than Essendon* and Richmond combined. Who has the last laugh?

Exactly...

Fixing Brisbane is higher on the AFL agenda... we'll get end of rd1 pick for Kruezer.

I also don't have any faith in forcing someone 'decent' into the psd.

How happy was Eddie calling the game on Fox last night. Kept mentioning the wooden spoon every opportunity he got!
Hope he has to sakc Bucks next year. That would be a dream come true.

I don't really care about the wooden spoon.
Whether you're last, second last, third last, its all pretty much the same.
It's all about premierships and doing whatever we can to get as close as possible to a premiership.
I'll be feeling pretty good if we get picks 1 and 2, 10 for Hendo, 20, and possibly a first rounder for Yarran.
The use our other picks for Rice and and Silvagni (I doubt anyone will bid higher than 20 for them)
Get Carlisle PSD
Let Bolton and SOS rebuild this club around Cripps and Weitering.
Plenty of promise and improvement this year from Buckley, Graham, Doc, Boek, Holman, Dick, Casboult, Everitt, Bell*
Hope Bolton can get the most out of Menz and Yaz if he stays

*maybe traded for Aish?

One of the most positive effects is the PSD. We can now leverage this towards any young out of contract player we can lure, might it Carlisle or even Tralore.

You can draft well with low draft picks and draft crap with high ones. Really makes you think.

I think we are the hot favourites to win another spoon next year.

Who's expected to be pick 1 next year?
Do we have any free agents coming up that could net us band 1 compo?

Looking @ past FA transactions. The trigger for band 1 seems to be 550k for 4 years.
Frawley is on that @ Hawthorn and it got Melb band 1.
Dal Santo is on 425ish @ norf but he is older and got STK band 3 (I'm pretty sure).
Daisy @ 625k for 4 years got Pies band 1.

Matty has offers infront of him that will trigger band 1. SOS knows that. Hence why Matty remains unsigned.

Pick 25 for Dal Santo

Yep a pick after their second = band 3.
