Poster on BigFooty who has been pretty reliable lately claims the board is united, but there will be change. Mentioned the board change a couple of days back before anyone yesterday.

Some new faces coming in, and some standing down and "people will be happy", is all he can say at this stage.

Slobbo tells everyone, Murphy and Gibbs have meetings to spell out they are not on the table while the rest of the playing group are thinking what is going to happen to me.

Who the flower would ask Mark Robinson if the press conference went alright? It is amateur and cringe worthy.

MLG is a very poor media performer. Just doesn't seem comfortable. That doesn't mean he is no good a being club President or is not doing a lot of good behind the scenes.

I like what is happening at the club at the moment and things seem to finally be heading in the right direction.

In regards to the board there are a number of people on there that have gotten away with a lot of embarrassing mistakes, they should go. Rumors are there is a new ticket running to challenge. Whatever happens I hope it is quick and doesn't disrupt what is happening. The main thing for me is the board needs to be reduced to about 5 people that can work together, support the current direction and get things done.

I agree MLG can be clumsy and naive, and hardly a slick media performer but I'm not sure they are the best examples.

The answers in the Robinson interview were more a "Its not my area, all avenues will be discussed", rather than a "Yes, they could be traded" which sits fine with me. Last thing I want is the President answering questions on List Management.

The comment at the end of the presser was more just a bit of small talk, to break the silence in conversation.

Jury is out, like it is on everyone at the club, but his legacy will not be decided on these small tidbits.

MLG doesn't have to be a solid media performer, that's what Triggs and the media/marketing people are for..
MLG just needs to keep doing what he's doing in the background re the Board and working with the CEO to get the organisation right

Sticks may have been a much better media performer then MLG, but what MLG has done in his 12 months in charge is miles better of anything Sticks did in his 5 years, or Smorgon, Collo and Jack (in his last 5 years) before him.

No, but there are reasons for it this year. Sacking Malthouse, Hiring Malthouse, Shit side and list, Club on the nose, Poor Membership and Sponsorship.

Whilst it isn't good I genuinely believe we keep down this path with Bolton bringing in a more positive style and game plan and SOS bringing hope with a bunch of well chosen kids, this will turn around quickly.
