"I really don't like him saying he wants to go somewhere else [with] three rounds to go. It's unnecessary, it's undisciplined, and I've got no idea why people feel the need to do it," McLachlan told Fairfax Radio on Friday morning.

This is promising from McLachlan. At least it shows concern about Carlton's plight.
Far better than Demetriou's complete disdain for Carlton.

All we need now is for Carlton to swallow their pride and ask for money/draft assistance. Every little bit helps.
Every team that has won premierships in the last 10 years have done so with AFL assistance. Get on board and join the queue.

Hendo has let the club down - my club. He might as well have taken a dump on the door step of Princes Park. When we require a committed group of players to lead and take charge, he ran the other way. Thanks Hendo :screwy:

We require a committed group of players - totally agreed. Yet we're leaving Kreuzer hanging and unsigned 3 weeks before the season is out. Go figure.

Maybe they haven't agreed on a deal. Krooz may have a good offer from another club as his bargaining chip and the blues may be considering a compo pick as an option.

Cant just sign a bloke because it is 3 weeks before the end of the season.

I can understand it if Krooz is looking closely at other offers which are longer term and more $$$. He is injury prone and who knows how long Krooz has left in AFL football. He will also start thinking about himself now to set up his financial future.

Thats the problem Rexy.....he hasn't completed his contract. Yes the club is a basketcase, but Hendo as others have mentioned, checked out weeks ago. Basketcase or not, you are paid to play and for a forward to not kick one goal in five weeks is well below the standard you would expect from a professional footballer.

Blame the club that didn't drop him then....

But on the flip side no reason a player can't say he is leaving 3 weeks out

..he's not using other clubs for leverage.... ..his manager is getting paid easy money, because krooz isn't putting his manager to work.. ..he won't be chasing big money from the club, I reckon it's more about finalising other deals, big picture for the club wise,, than anything else..

....there's been no media talk linking krooz to another club at all..

So, Vonnie Henderson (Lachies mother) just wrang 3aw to confirm Hendo was prepared to play the season out in the 1s or 2s, but was sent packing by the club.

So those at the club and in the media peddling otherwise are talking crap.

I heard the interview. Taking a Vonnie quote from the AFL website:

"I think the traffic is very much one way. There's nobody more loyal to a club than Lachie Henderson."

Yet Lachie is the first one to say that he wants to leave. If that's loyalty then he can have it. The club has done the right thing. We need players that want to play for the jumper. If they don't see you later.

..Vonnie for all the obvious reasons, isn't exactly objective.... ..I like Hendo, but as a footballer he capitulated.. ..forget about loyalty to the club.. ..what about loyalty to personal competitive spirit..?..

How exactly will he get to Geelong? Trade? Restricted Free Agent? If we allow ourselves to get screwed in this trade it will demonstrate that there has been no underlying changes at the club. To the extent possible we must play hardball with Hendo & Geelong.

I agree. I think the whole thing has been handled well by everyone except Gil.

- Henda lets club know early for clubs benefit and he cannot live a lie.
-Club puts a line through his name to protect an asset and to protect the jumper.
-Gil sooks because AFL has bagged NRL for years and now it is happening to them.

Loyal my arse. Didn't take him long to leave Brisbane when the opportunity arose. He has been paid bloody good money here for the last six years. He earnt his money in 2013 only. I was rapped when we got him from the Lions and have stuck up for him on numerous occasions. Sounds a bit like a mummy's boy. When the rest of leadership suggest you go now you have a problem.

He's not a restricted free agent. As I understand it the only way he can get to Geelong is through a trade. He won't get there through the PSD. Brisbane might take him back in that case.

This is important.

If he's serious about wanting to go Geelong either there's an agreement already in place between the clubs or he and his agent have played this extremely poorly.

I find it hard to believe they could be that stupid.

My guess is it's the former.

Doesn't make sense otherwise.

Everyone's just keeping up appearances I reckon.

Ah yes the poor sol is LOYAL Lachie
Didn't he walk out on Brisbane..
Now us.
What if the cats are crap for 3 years will he be LOYAL to them.
Yeah but he's a good bloke blah blah blah
Good blokes stick fat not up and leave when the going gets tough
Loyal my arse...
He was paid good money for 6 years for average output and put into the leadership group and now when he needs to actually lead he wants out???
If Geelong are dumb and that desperate enough to give us pick 9 or so then this is the best deal the club has done since getting Judd.
Won't win a flag at the cats so this is a fantastic deal for us.
Weak as piss is LOYAL Lachie....
But if we get Gellong's first pick I'll appluade him every time he plays against us...
So yes thanks LOYAL Lachie :thanks:

Just further fallout from the disastrous appointment of the Super Duper Dud.

Was never that enraptured with Henderson ... but he was a good ordinary player (but without the class of Buzz).

Not only do we fall back to the bottom of the ladder where we had languished so long under Pagan, we now have lost a string of useful players.

On top of that, there has been a complete confidence loss by the players. Good luck to the next coach ... lets hope we never make such a dumb appointment again.

Bye Hendo ... we can do better. I hope our recruiters start making smart decisions.

Yet in an interview in the HUN last month he said he would not even talk to other clubs and would only deal with Carlton.
Who knows what is going on, I only know we have a lot of unsigned players which is unusual for this time of the year.
