Can agree with this, the wife took my 5 1/2 year old son to the last open training session. Gave her the challenge of ensuring she got Cripps to sign his jumper.

Wife asked receptionist the go on what happens post training etc for autographs and she said they wouldn't be out as had a meeting right after training. Anyhow, by luck Cripps had his parents over and came out to see them right before the meeting and the receptionist went over to ask if my little fella could have a chat and a signature on the jumper.

Cripps left his parents and spent a good 3-4 minutes having a chat with my son. Not sure if good thing but the wife said he was an absolute gentleman and truly engaged with the young fella.

Just need to get a cavalry behind him!!!

It's very easy to sit behind a keyboard and say "1st rounder or have fun in the PSD". But in this case, given the reported shallowness of the draft and as a signal to others we might be trading players with, I hope SOS plays it hard.

If they need a later swap of picks, fine. But we should be demanding 1st rounders for each for Menzel, Henderson, Yarran and Kreuzer if they want to pick their next clubs.

I won't pretend to know what goes on in the hallways of this club (although what I picture is often akin to a 3-Stooges episode), but this whole Henderson issue has been very disappointing. That it's now public makes it worse, as it immediately puts us at a disadvantage in a trade (unless the deal's already been done).

Obviously SOS has a plan, and we should fully support it. But if you asked me at the start of the year who was essential to keep, Henderson was one of them. Not for the results he's brought to the table, but the simple fact he's our only half-decent tall (and best defender - despite our stubborn reluctance to play him there). So SOS must've had a plan when he tapped him on the shoulder, but my question is what came first out of the shoulder-tap or Lachie's lack of effort? Could Hendo still have had a place in "the new Carlton"? We'll never know.

I'll only say thanks to Lachie for his service (and for agreeing to come here in the first place), and that I sure hope SOS knows what he's doing.
